Private road access leads to a primitive campsite at the back of our farm. Enjoy a flat, sandy pad with plenty of room to park your boondocking rig. Take in views of nearby Crane Mountain and the Glen Creek wetlands. A nature trail leads to the edge of the wetlands, where you can observe a variety of birds and maybe even spot a beaver at work. The property is being regenerated into a food forest while former pastures are being restored for grazing animals. Our farm is also open for an immersive experience, where you can meet our four Nigerian Dwarf goats, two Kunekune pigs, a pair of Muscovy ducks, numerous chickens, and rabbits. We're tucked away in a peaceful, remote setting, yet only 20 minutes from Warrensburg and 20 minutes from Gore Mountain and North Creek for groceries and other essentials. The Crane Mountain Trailhead is just 2 miles up the road. The steep hike to the summit rewards you with 360-degree views of the southern Adirondacks. There's even a pond just below the summit that's perfect for a refreshing swim on a hot summer day. Beautiful Garnet Lake is only 15 minutes away and features a public boat launch for kayaking and canoeing. This area has no cell phone service, making it the perfect escape for anyone looking to unplug from technology and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.Site 1 is situated at the top of the "back 40" with views of the nearby Crane Mountain and south to the farm. Tent

Dave was a great host and I would stay here again! Booked in the late afternoon after deciding dispersed camping was gonna be annoying and wasn't sure what to expect. Dave called me shortly after I booked to check in and to make sure I had the directions to his place. At check-in, Dave gave a quick introduction to the place and made sure we had everything we needed, offering us water, giving us firewood, and even offering us a tent to borrow. There were two picnic tables, a pop-up canopy/tent and a small fire pit at the site, which was quiet, private and spacious. The privy was incredibly clean and new, and was stocked with toilet paper and antiseptic. This was my first stay through Hipcamp and it was a good choice. Would stay here again!
