1/2 mile off of the 101. The address is 494 Indianola Cutoff (see GPS instructions below). We used this location to build our new home. Incredible location between Eureka and Arcata. Redwoods on property. Old growth stumps as well near campsite. On a county road but very quiet at night. Power available. We have 50-30 amp adapter available to use. Very private setting. Full size construction porta potty for your personal use. We recently created a spot for a tent as well. The site is level, gravel and well drained. Hard to find in Humboldt! 🌲🌲IMPORTANT GPS DIRECTIONS🌲🌲 To find us using GPS please type in 500 Indianola Cutoff… we share a driveway. Pull in then immediately to your left you will see your campsite ⛺️⛺️🚐🚐Incredibly convenient location. 1/2 mile off of 101. We used this site to build our home. The campsite was very serviceable. Certainly geared towards a camper van or RV. The port-a-potty could have used a drain and a cleaning and there was no privacy stall for an outdoor shower a-la solar shower bag etc. so an RV with a shower would have been a bit nicer. There are some privacy panels that block some of the view to the main house but only limited. The pad was flat and 3/4- gravel which made setting up our tent trailer easy.

The place was very pretty with a beautiful outdoor sitting area / lighting setup. It also felt very safe and it’s right off the highway 101. Super convenient. Highly recommend.

This was a great spot! Andrew did an excellent job of making it cozy and a perfect spot for us as we headed south for a 7 day van trip. The Redwood are absolutely gorgeous- the dogs loved all the smells of nature. :) As others mentioned, it’s close to the road but it didn’t bother us at all.

This camp spot was safe and well-equipped. Friendly dog and responsive host. Running water, electricity, flat parking, a nice table, bench and chairs were setup. A little close to the road was my only complaint but good privacy. If I were in a tent, the road noise could be distracting but inside my van was perfectly fine. I would use this site again - not a lot of options in Arcata area - so I’m grateful this spot exists. Keep it clean and be respectful please so the host keeps hosting!

Nice, private campsite with electrical hookup and water hose. We had a great night stay in stopover in Eureka - it started raining in the night, which was not a problem as the site is well drained. Very good experience - would not hesitate to stay here again in the future!

Great spot for overnight stay. Easy access off hwy 101 and perfect for small trailer set up like ours. Site was clean as well as porta potty. Would definitely recommend!

We pulled in late and were able to set up easily and enjoy our dinner on the little camping porch. We grabbed a nearby mat to put under the tent to protect it from the gravel. The Porto is in good order. The location is near a road but it’s fairly quiet at night. We slept well and were on the road again easily.

We had a great stay. The spot is easily recognizable from the posted photos and with the given directions, easy to find. The option to have power, the seating area with prep table and porta potty were all appreciated. There were solar powered lights that helped light up the path to the porta potty at night which was a nice touch. We did not have great reception with AT&T so be aware. Also there was a bit more road noise than anticipated as the spot is next to a street. However it did not keep us up.

The site was easy to get to. It was level, clean, private, nicely set up with a seating area, counter, porta potty, water, electricity and trash cans….Andrew was responsive and offered help if needed. Would definitely stay again! Highly recommend!

The back of Andrew’s property is a tiny little magical forest. I really loved having access to that outdoor space! The camping amenities were helpful and well thought out. As others have mentioned, the camp spot is close to the road. From about 10:30pm to 6:30am there was no traffic and it was peaceful and whisper quiet. Great for a good nights sleep. Once the morning commuters started it was about what you’d expect being close to the road, but I was up and on my way soon after so it wasn’t an issue. I wouldn’t plan to sleep in and lounge in the morning, but it was perfect for a “Redwoods Rest Stop”
