With easy access to Red River Gorge, Whittleton Campground is a bucolic beauty. A string of tent and RV campsites comprise most of the campground. There’s a small loop of primitive sites for those looking for a more secluded getaway with a picnic shelter nearby.

This is our favorite campground in the gorge, but it does fill up on weekends and during peak fall color. Showers, coin laundry, water spigots everywhere, etc. Whittleton Arch is an easy trail which begins at the campground. The arch itself isn't one of the most beautiful, but the hike is very enjoyable!
