Nice little camp spot on the back side of a field. Meet Larry at the main homestead and he will lead you to your campsite. Larry was very friendly and campsite was mowed and free of trash or litter.

Larry and Jesse went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. They offered me different options for where to camp and helped me make a fire. The site itself was serene and peaceful.

Beautiful property as expected. Host was friendly and courteous. However, the previous reviews were accurate. The property that is in the photos is difficult to get to using GPS I guess. The address you receive is to a different home that looks nothing like the photos with the camp name on a sign out front. The trouble was I wasn't able to get a hold of the host since he wasn't home. I eventually did after about 75 min and he showed me to the property in the photos. I chatted with him and made some suggestions as well as informed Hip camp. I hope the method by which you could find where to go gets sorted out, as the land is beautiful and the host is a great guy otherwise.

I couldn’t get ahold of the host via message or call at all prior to check-in. So I just kinda turned up at the address listed and knocked on the door. The person who answered was not the host but she proceeded to call the host who pulled up from elsewhere about two minutes later. He had me follow him in my car down to the site about a half mile away which was essentially some other guys’ front yard? This is where the water and electric are. I guess there was more field space (I assume which may have been out of eye shot from this guy’s home?) a ways down some field path but I wanted to be close to the exit lol. The other guy wasn’t a bother at all and kept to himself all night (luckily a massive storm hit us that night so I was locked away in my camper). Whole debacle felt unorganized and, as a woman traveling alone, felt really unsafe. I left promptly the next morning. At last the view of the field was pretty.

I had trouble finding anyone at the address listed on hip camp, then saw the phone and called to leave a message, which was returned about an hour later, as I was nearly headed back on the highway to continue my trip to find another stop for the night. After I spoke to Larry and got the correct address I drove to it and found the spot, although it was already dark and difficult to see much of the property. Met up there with Jesse who was very welcoming and directed me to the electric hook up. The area was not as picturesque as it was pictured in the photos but it was dark so I didn’t get to choose any other options than right near Jesse’s trailer.

Nothing but good things to say! Larry was very friendly, met us and took us to our campsite with full hook up. A fire was already started, and he even placed a grate. We have a bigger rig, 37 ft long, and needed to be careful on the narrow trail to our site, especially when we left again. Jessie, the caretaker of the property, was so nice, brought over some vegies and told us we could use his fire wood. We did not see any other sites besides ours, but ours was quiet, clean, and we had no problems with our hook ups at all. We were well taken care of and would recommend this place!

The campsite was clean, quiet, and open. However, the directions from Hipcamp site took us to a different spot 20 minutes away. The address of the actual spot would be very helpful and would’ve saved us at least an hour and a needless frustration. We recommend putting up photos that are distinct for the site, such as a sign. Otherwise, we enjoyed the privacy and beautiful farm.

Our stay at the farm was perfect. Despite arriving on the day before the eclipse with limited spots, we found a cozy spot down the road from the main house. Access to water was easy. We are so happy with the unobstructed view of the western sky.
We adored the company of woodpeckers, cardinals, and blue jays during our stay. Our kids loved collecting sticks, making log houses, and off road tracks in terrain for their monster trucks.
Larry, the owner, is kind and philosophical. His deep love for his land adds a special touch. If you're seeking a serene and simple retreat, this farm is the perfect choice.

Larry was a true gentleman, I pulled up at 2:30 am and slept in the yard without a trouble. Helped me find the best water, a place to charge my phone, and a great view for the eclipse! Would recommend asking to pitch your tent near his rental property across the street; it has the best view.

My experience at Latham Farms was wonderful. We came to the area to view the solar eclipse. Larry owns a large amount of land & essentially you get to pick where on the land you’d like to camp. Upon arrival Larry personally drove us around to different spots until we found one we liked. He was nothing but generous, kind, and welcoming. The land you camp on is gorgeous & mostly untouched by modern hands. There is a town about 15 minutes away with all that you’d need. Kroger, Walmart, gas, restaurants. Larry was very responsive & checked on us to make sure we were settling in okay. The people in the area are nothing but generous & friendly, welcoming you to their town & honestly extending a helping hand if you need. Tons of locally made products.. honey, maple syrup, farm eggs that you can stop & buy from stands on the side of the road. It was a wonderful experience! If you ever need a low key place to camp out, I couldn’t recommend Larry’s place enough!

Stayed here in a 30ft RV for the full eclipse. It took us a minute to find the right spot but Larry was super friendly, accommodating, and patient. He showed us 3 sites before we found one that worked. We had an open farm field we faced to have an open view of the eclipse. Behind the camper was a woods with trails we could ride our golf cart on in some places. There was some standing water so we’re thinking of going back during a more dry season but the spring time is so gorgeous! Lots of native woodland plants flowering it’s a beautiful woods. We found the nest of a mating pair of hawks who scolded us and warned of our presence. You could hear pileated wood peckers all around. The woods also had a gully that ran through and turned into a ravine where we found the remains of an old structure with a metal roof. Larry gave us a little history that it had been a sugar maple camp back in the day. If you like to explore things like flora and fauna, geology, history, and archeology this a great place to stay!

We were in the back in a beautiful cove of trees with beautiful green grass and a little fire pit. The property was quiet and calm. No noise other that our woodpecker friends and other birds. It was primitive and we liked it that way. We picked a cold time of year to camp and we would come back again. Thanks Larry

We arrived at 10pm after requesting a reservation only 3 hours earlier; Larry was waiting for us and showed us two site options to choose from, trying to make things as convenient as possible for us at the late hour. Our campsite was private and firewood was left for us in the fire pit. Larry was quick to respond to questions too--would recommend!

I needed a spot off I70 on my way cross country and found Latham Farms. I met Larry and followed him to the campsite not far from his place and posted up in a great little mowed area next to a pond. Fireflies were all time that night and the spot was clean and quiet. Great night sleep before getting back on the road. Thanks for hosting Larry!

The host was very kind and the site was quiet and private. The electric was set up to accommodate 30 and 50. There is also a water hook up. Although it’s a bit tucked back by a corn field, there is level land to park with a short distance to drive off-road. The actual location is a bit distant from the Hipcamp displayed location and is not a quick on and off- but it is a nice drive (just follow the speed warnings because there are a few sharp curves!). The only comment is that the water had a very strong sulfuric smell. Also, recommend communicating to the host via phone call for quickest responses as opposed to text or app.

Larry was very accommodating, when we wound up arriving very late he provided great directions and we got to the 50amp spot with no problem! Charged our Tesla overnight so we could continue our road trip the next day! Very secluded and lovely property!

Larry and his wife were incredible hosts and a very nice couple. I only had a chance to stay one night. The area was very quiet, serene, and just a great spot out on the farm. Easy RV hookups. Nice little lake stocked with fish next to the RV area. Wish I had time to cast a few.
Enjoyed some good stories and a drink with them. Certainly recommend if you are in the area. If I make another trip out in an RV, I'd definitely come back.

We had a great stay here at the farm! Unfortunately our Rig 37ft class A was a tad to big to pull into the 50amp site, but that was no problem as Larry had another spot we’re were able to stay at. Larry was very accommodating and made our stay pleasant! The farm property with 50amps was right next door from where we parked, it was beautiful!

Larry and friends were really welcoming and helpful. We arrived later than expected (just at sunset), but texted in advance of arriving. He thoughtfully asked if we had lights to pitch our tent in the dark (we did). We were taken to the camping spot, which was very private and comfortable. Their location was easy to find and a perfect stop for us as we made our way camping across country on our way back to NY state.

Larry is awesome, exceptionally hospital. The Farm makes for a great stay. I loved waking up to find some curious chickens investigating my truck. Will definitely be staying here again!
