With so many ways to access the water, not having a dam good time at Kaskaskia River Lock & Dam Campground is out of the question. Throughout the 36 mile river project, there are multiple boat ramps for river access, in addition to two local marinas that also provide—wait for it—ready-made libations for your post-water excursions. If it’s a touch of glamping you seek to find, search for Smitty’s at the Marina or the Waterstreet Bar & Grill for a taste of the world that you left to come camping here at this fine slice of outdoors.
