Pros: Having easy access to power, clean toilets & HOT showers. Cons: They pack you in to the camping area like sardines & the fire ants are vicious! Wear proper shoes & bug repellant. Bring a fan, it's hot!

What a sight to wake up to. Most of the camping areas have a bit of shade from that hot Florida sun. Scallops around these parts are real good eatin... Cooked or straight from the ocean. Heaps of interesting sea life to discover! The Gulf around this area is gorgeous! Excellent place to go scalloping- though you'll want to get in right away when season starts, otherwise the grasses are pretty picked through.

My husband and I LOVE camping here. Dogs are allowed on the beach which is a major plus for us. You are somewhat close to your neighbors but we have never had a problem with noise. The bathrooms are pretty clean and easily accessible. You can be on the beach in an under 5 minute walk from virtually every campsite. The mosquitos get a little nasty if the wind dies down, but that is the only con!

The fishing is good depending on the time of year and the tackle you are using. I don't know what I'm doing and I easily caught a few fish. The bait shop recommends shrimp strips and raw squid. This is the beach accessible from the campgroundThe beach is beautiful and not crowded!
