Welcome to a great wide open desert retreat. Do as you please! No one is going to bother you. Let the animals loose, roll out the off road vehicles, ride bikes, and build a fire and enjoy that peaceful good outdoor life.
The old Spanish trail can be found nearby for hiking and/or biking and there are mountains and cool wildlife all around in the valley. The stars all pop completely present with no light pollution to spoil them.
Additionally, Southern Utah has so many other trails and beautiful places all over in almost any direction. Zion National Park is only a little over an hour drive away down I-15. I highly recommend Kanarraville Falls as well, as it's at most only 30 minutes away.
*** Getting to the property:
It is directly off of the "main" road which consists of a well kept wide dirt road. The GPS location will guide you straight there to an intersecting road with a stop sign called 1200 E which runs south the "main" road/4800 N/AKA Antelope Springs Rd. At this intersection, there is a trail running north marked with an orange post for fiber cable. That trail and road marks the bottom left corner of the property if you're facing north. Follow the trail and find your way anywhere on the right side, there are already some campsites made up, but you are also welcome to make your own to your hearts desire. Be mindful of your vehicle, cars can drive the trail but there is always a risk of getting stuck. You can also park on the main road as you are already at the property anyway and can just walk in a little ways to set up your camp.
**It's important to be aware of any fire warnings for Iron County, Utah. Do a Google search for fire threats and it should be the first thing you see. Most of the time, large bonfires will be highly discouraged. Use good judgment when building a fire of any size.
*Cedar City is a straight shot East if you need any medical attention.

This site can host up to 20 RVs! It is about 320 feet by 320 feet. It is dry camping only, and makes spectacular evenings of gazing at the stars under completely natural skies! During the day, there are miles of dirt roads for riding motorcycles and ATV’s.
Hunting grounds are within six miles, Fishing, boating, water skiing and swimming are had at the Newcastle Reservoir, just 8 miles away! There is a gas station/country store/Grill with restrooms just 4 miles away!
The National Historical Site of the Mountain Meadow Massacre is just 20 minutes away. The wide-open, flat terrain is good for flying drones, setting up tents, or playing corn-hole.

There is no water or toilet facilities, and no electricity, so please pack out whatever you bring in! Stay for one night, or up to one month (discount for stays over one week) as you explore Zion hiking and mountain biking trails, or Southern Utah University’s Shakespeare Festival!

Electricity: Power is supplied through a solar and battery setup. During the day, it works well for charging e-bikes, batteries, phones, and smaller devices. At night, you can comfortably run a laptop, TV, or other small electronics. Please note the system is not designed for high-draw appliances such as full-size air conditioners.
Water: Up to 5 gallons of potable water and 5 gallons of non-potable water are available for purchase upon request.
Access: The property is located just one mile off the highway. The wide dirt road is generally easy to navigate in dry weather, but it can become muddy after rain. Four-wheel drive is required during or after wet conditions.

This was the easy place to get into if you were going to the Cathedral Gorge, which we were not so it took us an hour out of our way, but it was still it was a nice level spot not so great for the dogs. Lots of goats lots and lots of goat heads.

When we arrived, the folks at the Inn had their truck in our spot and there was an abandoned vehicle in front of the sights. Took us awhile to get someone to answer the door but once they did they quickly moved their truck. The abandoned vehicle was never claimed during our 2-night stay. Great communication with Dann before our arrival but lost communication once we arrived. We were grateful for the FHU and wifi password the Dann sent us just before we arrived. Right off Hwy 93 so the traffic can be loud but otherwise we had two restful nights and a great time visiting the Cathedral Gorge State Park. We did have to drive the 14 miles into Caliente for something to eat.

Perfectly level FHU within a mile of Cathedral Gorge State Park. We stayed 3 nights. Traffic can be loud; just run a fan. You can’t beat the convenience. Would stay again if we come back thru. This park is worth a visit despite being remote. Dann gave us great directions and recommended Pioche ( local town) and Spring Valley State Park. If you go stay on gravel road past the lake to see very cool rock formations. So worth it. Also cool teapot arch right in Panaca.

Quiet, peaceful spot that was perfect for an overnight stop as we passed through. The site was easy to find, with a level concrete pad that made parking a breeze. Beautiful surroundings and very quiet at night. The host was also very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area!
