This property was purchased by my husband and I in 1980 from Margret Cetera mother of Peter Cetera lead singer of the band Chicago. When purchased the home was a small non descript cottage with a pole barn in the back field. It has grown to support grape, blackberry and muscedime vines.The original home has expanded through time and around 20 years ago, the pole barn was converted into a large 1200 square foot cabin with modern conveniences. My husband and I actually enjoyed living full time in the cabin for a period of 5 years before returning to reside in the main house. The cabin consists of 1 large common space room with sitting area and kitchen. The antique farm sink has hot and cold running water. Also available is a large refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, hot plate, coffee pot and portable dishwasher. The antique Hoosier cabinet holds cooking utensils and silverware and located above the kitchen counter you will find plates, bowls, cups and glasses for your use. The water is well water, pure and delicious without chemicals. The cabin is equipped with a full size pool table for our guests enjoyment. The master bedroom offers a comfortable sleigh bed, full bathroom with shower and just outside the bedroom is a comfortable patio to enjoy, complete with table and chairs for two and outdoor fire place. Also available is a twin bed tucked in the corner of the area between the main room and bedroom. For guests wishing to continue their exercise routine, a modern treadmill is available as well. Walk the spacious well landscaped yard with multiple seating venues including a large hammock. For a quiet night of movie enjoyment, bring your favorite movies and make use of the DVD/VCR machine and wide screen television. Approximately 12-14 television channels are available via outside antenna. This cozy cabin offers something for everyone; book your stay today.

Shoes are required on the lot, as there could be remaining debris from the previous owners. For the same reason, we also require guests to stick to the gravel and mulched areas and paths. Other things to note The bus is visible from the road, however we are one of only 3 houses on this street, so traffic is minimal (though it can be fast). 🐾 Pet Policy We’re happy to welcome well-behaved dogs! There is a $50 pet fee per stay to help cover additional cleaning and upkeep so we can continue offering a fresh, comfortable space for every guest (and their furry friends 🐶). Please make sure to add your pet to your reservation when booking, or let us know before check-in so we can update your stay accordingly. Perfect little location for some fall trees and a little getaway. The cabin had everything I needed with the extra bonus of the personal hot tub! Instructions about everything in the cabin were very easy to follow. I also appreciated how this one felt a little more secluded than some of the neighbors!

Amazing time at the location. Very peaceful. We enjoyed the kayaks on the lake. Great option to just get away from the city. We didn’t bring any food; local options were amazing!

Loved waking up to shimmering water and gentle breezes. This time of year was amazing. Our campsite was just steps from the lake, perfect for sunrise coffee or sunset grilling. The jacuzzi was a plus!!

We absolutely loved the A-Frame my husband and I stayed in for 2 nights. It had everything we needed and so so peaceful. We swam off the pier, kayaked around the calm water, and relaxed in the hot tub at night. It was the perfect little getaway.

We loved our stay here! Beautiful scenery to watch out of the front of the dome and star gazing out of the top. Comfortable beds, everything was clean and well taken care of. The hot tub was a great way to end our night relaxing. We would definitely come back!

The place was easily accessible and out of the way at the same time. Nice fire pit by the water, kayaks to use at the dock on fcfs basis. Highly recommend this place

Cathedral Caverns Campground

Cathedral Caverns is so awesome! It is $18 for a cave tour, and you can't do it without going on the tour-- it was SO worth it! It's so incredible in there. The guide will tell you all about how it was discovered and it's so neat to think about someone just going in a cave and discovering this amazing area all underground. After the cave tour, we walked around the trails and they are nice too. Didn't see many people on them. Make sure to stay if you see a little fence to stay inside it, because it backs up to other people's land. They have a trail map in the gift shop and a sign at the trail head- it's a little easy to get turned around but all the trails meet up with each other so it's not bad! I would definitely recommend it.
