Northern end is far removed from main area which is nice if that is what you are looking for. There is limited area for tents and no specific fire ring, but you can make a fire right on beach. Lots of hammock trees. Gravel bars on the tip and eastern edge of the island. Great host.

A Special Spot
Michaela has this dialed in. She provides very clear arrival instructions, information about what to expect and helpful local knowledge. During our stay she was helpful beyond expectations. The island also exceeded my expectations and has a great balance of nature and trails to allow you almost feel that you’re there alone. The site was well positioned, great ground for our tent, fire pit and a lovely spot for a swim. We took advantage of the rental kayaks to paddle down the river. I truly wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect island overnight
The tent site was perfect so we didn’t need to pack as much gear on our canoe. Michaela set up cots and firewood just as we asked and then we found all the extra amenities to make it such a user friendly and cozy campsite. Treat yourself to the best quiet island site on the river and super gracious host. 10/10!
