You will very likely not see another human, but you will see plenty of antelope and maybe some coyotes, swift foxes, badgers, and jackrabbits. Pictures don't do it justice but it's a beautiful place to enjoy the sky, the horizon, and watching the weather change and roll in throughout the day. Neat spot for a cross country trip! I love big private land sites like this and the instructions provided by the owner made it easy to find even in the dark. The weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to explore and the road did degrade a tiny bit by the time we left the next morning, but it’s an awesome spot!

They grade the gravel very often, i stayed 1 night on the way up to Montana and 1 night on the way back. Both spots were almost perfectly level. Sure makes things nice when ur just quickly stopping for the night.

This is such a great place to camp when traveling on I-80 through Rawlins.
I have stayed here several times and every time I have been very happy with my visit. The staff are friendly and helpful, the bathrooms and showers are clean and cutely decorated. I know I will stay here again when I come through the area.

Wonderful place and especially good if you want quiet, open space, excellent star gazing, wonderful views. We were traveling on our way to Oregon so couldn’t really get a chance to stay and enjoy as much as I would have wanted (ie walk the trails,etc). Lots of antelope around. Very safe. Also recommended as a place for travelers to stay going along I80.

Known as a true treasure of Wyoming, Seminoe State Park stretches far and wide under its deep blue sky. The Seminoe Reservoir is fed by two rivers and offers a variety of activities. It’s sandy shores and solitude set the tone for every fisherman’s dream. The Seminoe Mountains are close by and offer more of a challenge for the adventurous type—strap on those chacos, slather on the sunscreen, and be sure to pack plenty of water. Keep those binoculars ready for big horn sheep or elk along the hike. Returning to Seminoe State Park will offer you a place to rest, go for a swim, and call it a night under an expansive blanket of stars.
When to go
The ideal time to visit Seminoe State Park is from late spring to early fall, when the weather is warm and the park's full splendor is on display. Winter months can be harsh, with cold temperatures and limited access due to snow, making some activities less enjoyable.
