Our story began in the Dallas area, where we dreamed of having land, space, and the chance to share the great outdoors with others. Former avid RVers, we missed the joy of “glamping” and community life on the road. When we found this property in Tyler, Texas, we knew it was the perfect place to bring that vision to life. What started as a dream has become a God-inspired project fueled by our love for people, adventure, and the beauty of East Texas.
Spread across 60 heavily treed acres, our property offers RV and tent camping, as well as two fully furnished cabins available for short- or mid-term rental (see photos and booking at heavenlyhavenandhideaways.com). Guests can gather around the large communal firepit, enjoy games like tetherball, volleyball, and horseshoes, or relax in the open field with a frisbee or a couple portable disc golf baskets. Trails wind throughout the property, including a small creek and endless opportunities to explore. The trailhead is located just south of Site A.
We’re conveniently located just a few miles from Tyler State Park, where you can swim, bike, or rent paddleboats, and the Caldwell Zoo, known as one of the best small zoos in Texas. Shopping, museums, and great food are close by, along with unique stops in nearby Lindale—like Miranda Lambert’s Pink Pistol boutique.

Primitive camping on Caddo Lake is an experience like no other. Spanning 25,400 acres, the naturally formed fresh water lake gracefully crosses from Louisiana into Texas and is home to the largest cypress forest in the world.
The area on which this camp is located is rich in history--once the dwelling place of Caddo Indians who were known for their basket weaving and pottery skills. The site was part of the land acquired by the Louisiana Purchase in 1803.
Caddo Lake has a unique ecosystem and is a high quality habitat for many species, including migratory and resident waterfowl, osprey, eagles, alligators, and many species of fish. It is considered to be a valuable water system and Texas' only wetland of international importance.
Kayaks, canoes, and peddle boats may be launched from the shore.
Visitors will want to be familiar with Louisiana State Laws concerning boating and fishing, including those that apply to children. Fires are permitted unless there is a Parish mandated burn ban in effect.

Jill communicated with me immediately which was appreciated.
The grounds were lovely and I was pleased to have easy electricity and water at my site.
When I used the bathroom this morning before leaving I was INCREDIBLY impressed with their attention to comfort and coziness for this area that could have been a bare bones port-o-potty. Instead, it was air-conditioned, immaculate space that also had a beautiful sink in it.
I would absolutely go back, as it was easy to get to and very quiet.

i loved tent camping at blackberry pines with my group of six. we were the only ones camping on the land; it was good to have the whole spot to ourselves. i only spoke with brock shortly; he was kind and saw to it that all our needs were met.
brock does live on the land, but his house is about 1/3 mile away from the campgrounds. that is also where the water tap and portapotty are, so i think it would be best to bring your own water cooler. i like that we could gather firewood and choose our own spots to set up shelter.
the disc golf course was amazing. i liked golfing throughout the tall trees which gave us a lot of shade. it was great to have the far, mid, and near tees since some of us were newer to disc golf. there are 20 holes, and a putting course, so there is a lot to do.
we had a great time, and i would tell others to camp here.

This was my first solo camp and Linda offered a safe and secure landing space to do this. I enjoyed my experience among her wooded acreage. The lake across the street is a wonderful place to kayak which is offered as part of the experience. I now feel more confident building fires thanks to Linda and her Grandson's assistance :)

Nice little area! Enjoyed our time here. Playground with plenty of stuff for kids, nice bathroom and an outdoor shower with hot water.
Tent Site A was very secluded and a short walk to the bath house and was next to the trail and just across the road from the playground. It could use a dedicated tent pad, the spot where a tent would go seemed like the area where water would run. We ended up pitching on the asphalt pad to avoid any issues cause a slight chance of rain was possible. Just a short drive from basically everything in Tyler. Would stay again for sure.

I had such a great time here. I will definitely be back and send everyone this way. The host are absolutely amazing people I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The land is really cool and hasn’t some trails and lots of area to explore. My dog was in heaven here.

I had a great time there. It’s nice and quiet, the trees are fantastic, and I the host was helpful in suggesting places to go hiking. I was able to use my mobile charging cord with the RV hookup to charge my EV.

Great location in a beautiful country area. Lots of shade and quiet road. I found the circle drive easy to maneuver for parking. Both elect and water hook up available. Clear directions, comfortable setting, great host communication and very reasonable price, close to amenities. It's probably not a good area to off-leash a dog since it's close to a road and no fencing but location was very close to a nice and spacious dog park.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed being away from a lot of people. Miss Linda was super kinda and very hospitable. We really enjoyed being around her dog. I would recommend this to anybody wanting to have a quiet camping experience.
