We have a 5 acre homestead/hobby farm that is nestled in the Sam Houston National Forest. We are off the beaten path with beautiful views, peace and quiet and farm animals! We have goats, donkeys, rabbits, a miniature cow, a miniature horse, a pony, ducks, geese, turkeys, peacocks and chickens roaming our property. We just had a new addition Colt who was born on our property March 12th 2023. He is our precious little donkey.
We are a semi primitive camping spot. Come and enjoy getting away from the city without going too far. Enjoy the beautiful star filled sky. Feed the animals at 9am and love on them all day. Have your professional pictures taken with some of the animals(additional charge). Buy some farm fresh eggs. We have t-shirts and other merchandise for purchase. We have two above ground pools in our backyard for your enjoyment. We just put in a deck for catch and release fishing. We have a hot tub for your relaxation from fall to spring.

Are you looking for a unique place to spice up your trip? Have you ever slept in a Dome? Well, come try it out at Bespoke Outdoor Bubbles! This is truly a once in a lifetime find. When you stay in our dome on the farm with an enormous pool, not only do you get to experience something new and exciting, you also have access to so many fun things to do! The coolest part? The top is transparent, so you can fall asleep wishing on a star.
This dome is anchored to a sturdy wooden deck. There is a retractable awning that covers each dome reducing the green-house effect during the daytime and can be opened to reveal the beautiful skyline during the day or the wonderous starlit sky at night.
Inside you’ll find a cozy king bed and a trundle that can comfortably sleep up to four guests.
There is air conditioning and heating inside as well as a full private bathroom. The bathroom even has a clawfoot tub! Toiletries are provided for you during your stay.
The dome is located in Sam Houston National Forest on a beautiful ranchette of almost 8 acres. On the ranchette you’ll be able to see chickens, turkeys (seasonal), goats, pigs, rabbits, and a garden near the home as well as livestock grazing in the pastures. Wildlife is present in the forest, so there are some food restrictions inside the dome to keep you safe. (See “rules to keep in mind”)
A pathway that is clear during the day and perfectly lit for
your convenience at night takes you directly to a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. There, you will have access to a BBQ pit, an outdoor pavilion, pool, hot tub, and pool house. If you’d like to have some fun, games like corn hole, oversized connect-four, chess, checkers, tic-tac-toe, hop-scotch, water volleyball, and horseshoes for you to enjoy. If you’d like to relax, kick back in a hammock and take a nap in the fresh breeze.
The fire pit is open to all guests! Feel free to make s’mores, hot dogs, burgers, or whatever you’d like! Campfires are the perfect way to end any summer day.

Weekend Trip to Unique Gorgeous Bubble
We enjoyed the very unique experience at Jannett and Davis's property! It was surreal to sleep in an actual bubble. They had all the amenaties you come to expect, and we were remarkably comfortable. The pool, farm animals and other activities were also great!
My only complaint is that the "approximate location" shown in the listing is almost a one-hour drive from the actual location, which you only find out after booking. This forced some changes to our schedule for the weekend and would have been nice to know up front. But we still would have stayed here, and I'm glad we did.

Incredible experience! You are not only booking a dome to stay in, but Davis is an attentive, full-service host. He helped move our luggage with his ATV, started the fire, adjusted the hot tub to the temperature we needed, brought out speakers, etc. The amenities are also amazing-- pool is incredibly clean, firepit is nice, outdoor kitchen with drinks and snacks, goats and animals around. Davis even let us have fresh eggs from his chickens for breakfast! He is such a thoughtful host and really goes the extra mile for his guests!

We stayed for 3 nights and had an amazing time! The property was perfect for a family trip — clean, beautiful, and full of activities for everyone.
They had a miniature putt-putt course, a bounce area, playground, swimming pool, fishing pier and more! A few of us even enjoyed kayaking together on the water. (Kayaks cost extra to rent). It felt peaceful yet fun, with plenty of activities to keep everyone happy. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to other families looking for a relaxing, activity-filled getaway!

My family really enjoyed The Retreat. We had 8 people in our group and stayed in one of the cabins. It was a tight squeeze but we made it work. We really liked the pool and other amenities that were provided. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We bothered them a lot with towel, toilet paper, and trash bag requests. There was wifi in the clubhouse and in the cabins. You can rent golf carts to drive around in and cabanas around the pool. My only complaint is that the only shade around the pool was the cabana, and the Texas sun is not forgiving. All together, it was a great stay and we would definitely return.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this private campsite! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the owners truly care about providing an exceptional experience. The site was impeccably maintained, with clean facilities, well-marked trails, and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the beauty of nature.
What truly stood out was the tranquility—no noisy crowds, just the peaceful sounds of birdsong and rustling leaves. The privacy made it feel like our own little slice of paradise. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, offering helpful tips about the area while respecting our space.
The amenities were thoughtfully designed, from a cozy fire pit with plenty of wood to convenient access to clean water and even some charming touches like solar string lights. Whether you’re an experienced camper or just looking for a serene getaway, this site is perfect.

Everything was great! Five out of five stars, ten out of ten, twenty out of twenty. The only feedback I gave them was about the bathroom motion sensor light switch-- it will always automatically turn on when you go into the bathroom, and the switch doesn't allow that feature can't be deactivated, so it would be useful to bring a piece of tape and a piece of foil to cover the motion sensor at night, in case they don't think it worth it to replace the switch.

My family and I stayed in cabins 5 & 6. We throughly enjoyed our visit. It's was a quick getaway about an hour drive from home. The manager was very accommodating could not ask for better service. We took advantage of the lounge area and played pool, watched TV and also had coffee there. The location is very close to kemah boardwalk and many restaurants if you don't want to cook. Armenia in the cabin was much more than I expected. Definitely will return.

Had a lovely stay at Jackie's Place. The property is nice, clean and well maintained. We stayed in the cabins which had nice amenities including wifi and roku TV in the room. Customer service was top tier and very accommodationing. I would definitely stay here again.
