Welcome to Barker Gap! Opened in August 2024 we offer 3 beautifully shaded rv/camper spots, 2 pull thru spots and 1 back in. We have NO size or slide out restrictions, our spots were built with your comfort in mind. All spots come standard with 50A/30A/110 electric hookup, city water, Bbq/park grill, stone fire pit and sewage hookup at every campsite. Wi-Fi is also included for all campers. At this time we do not have bathrooms available to tent camping or any primitive style camping.
The BEAR'S DEN cabin is a 1 room 1 bathroom cabin. Built to sleep 4 with a spacious queen bed perfect for falling asleep on, a cozy twin bed for reading/sleeping, and stowed under the twin bed is an adventure cot for that outside nap on the deck. The cabin is equipped with a mini fridge/freezer, a Keurig coffee maker, and a microwave) inverter. In the bathroom we have a metal wrapped 22" deep soaking tub equipped with a rainfall shower head to wash the stress away. No glamping cabin would be complete without a wave activated hand dryer a 43" Wi-Fi connected smart TV and the latest plug ins with USB ports included so you can forget that charging box at home. Coffee, bedding, towels, bar soap, provided. So what are you waiting for? It's time to camp!

Our charming tiny home spans 400 sq ft and includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, full-sized appliances, and a 100 sq ft deck overlooking the pond.
Campsite 1 is now open and features a tent platform, picnic table, and a fire pit for your enjoyment.
Want to try camping and don't have the gear - we have you covered with a four-person tent, queen size air mattress, cooking stove/pots and sleeping bags/blankets. - You don't have to set it up or take it down, we take care of all of it for you!
Just ask to add the Glamp It Up Package (a $25-set up/take down fee, plus an additional 20.00 per night fee will be charged for use of all camping equipment. This also helps to cover the cost of waste management, washing gear, dishes, etc.

A place carved out of history dating back over 200 years ago. This is where history welcomes you to the Cherokee culture. This land has been handed down for generations and has stayed in the family beginning on my mother’s side of the family, Mary Ann Groundhog, the fourth generation great granddaughter of Sequoyah on the “Dick” side of my family tree. My mother was heavily involved with AIM (American Indian movement).
My dad was the last monolingual Cherokee. His name was Mack Vann, he was a man who loved culture and sharing it with visitors and handed down that passion to me. My hip camper site is named after my daddy, I am still a daddy‘s girl. The land originated before Sequoyah. who created the Cherokee syllabary. Sequoyah was my fifth generation great grandfather and I am very proud of my Cherokee heritage, I would love to share my culture, my tradition, and my passion with you.

This unique home features two bedrooms: one equipped with a queen-size bed and the other with twin-size bunk beds and two extra cot-sized memory foam roll-up mattresses for added guests.
Enjoy the spacious, beautiful front porch, which includes a fish-cleaning area, grilling space, and a cozy seating area complete with a porch swing for relaxing while taking in views of the lake. Brian was very responsive, super accommodating, and the space was clean, beautiful and just what we needed! Our friends had a camper and we got Bears Den cabin bc we don’t so it was perfect. The check out day was the prettier day and he let us hang and not rush. It was very much appreciated and he was one of the best hosts with communication! Thanks Brian!

A fantastic host. The property was great. Just far enough out in the country where it feels secluded. 10 min drive to Devils Den State Park. Loved that host provided firewood, ring, lighter and fire starter. Fridge kept things cold. Coffee was provided.

Had the BEST stay. The tiny house is stocked with everything we needed for an easy stay and was beautifully decorated! It felt like home away from home. The hosts were wonderful and had great communication. There was plenty of firewood on site for our campfires. The scenery is gorgeous and the trails are super well kept. We loved being so close to Devils Den as well. First time camping in NW Arkansas and we will definitely be back!

We were in AWE!!! Literally such a gorgeous place and the yurt was so cute and fun! Loved the hot tub- loved everything! Only small things to comment on was the WiFi connection was spotty but maybe that was our phone? Also the trailheads/ trails were kinda tricky to find so maybe better sign/ more defined trail? We will 100000% be back!

We had an incredible time on our trip to Heaven's Gate. We are hikers- not riders- so we weren't sure if it would be a great fit for us but it really was.
The trails out here are gorgeous and the folks are all real welcoming and friendly. Bridgitte, our camp host, was more than accommodating and made the experience even more beautiful than it already was on its own. She makes breakfast on request and dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, all delicious (we missed Sunday brunch but heard great things about it). She even brought us her personal microwave from her own home when the one in our cabin sparked and stopped working. Bridgitte is the kind of camp host that makes you want to leave your cabin a little extra clean when you leave.
This is a phenomenal place for all different kinds of people who crave getting out into nature. We loved every bit of the experience and cannot wait to go back; truly worth the drive no matter where you're coming from. Heaven's Gate is a great place for your dog, too- we brought ours and he was just elated the entire time. He loved it just about as much as we did. He will be returning with us in the summer!!

Weekend Trip to StoneWind Retreat - Luxury Yurts
This was a relaxing and luxurious getaway. We loved the big yurt, it had many accommodations beyond what we expected, WiFi, oven, full size laundry and hot shower. It’s private and quiet at night, you might hear an owl singing. We enjoyed a relaxing morning, made a pot of coffee, watched the sun rise over the Ozark mountains and relaxed in the hot tub. Even saw a small herd of female deer meandering through the field. This yurt had everything we could need and more, (central heat and AC!) Be sure to take a stroll and enjoy the property and beautiful standing stones. We’re already hoping to return to the tranquility of stone wind. Thank you a wonderful evening and welcoming us to enjoy this land with you.

This place is so nice! The cabin is clean, comfy, and inviting! The property is very well maintained and so pretty! There is plenty of space for several guests yet still private enough to enjoy your own space. The Buckhorn trails are close and easily accessible.
The Cub Cabin is fun! It’s a great size for a small family! It is perfect for our family of 4. The beds and bedding are comfy, the shower is great, and we loved the hanging hammock chair! There’s a small fridge, microwave, and keurig coffee maker. There’s extra chairs you can get out and use, a folding cot, or just relax on the bed. There’s outside grilling/sitting area is comfortable and inviting! Dad grilled hot dogs on the provided grill, the kids enjoyed playing, and mom relaxed and supervised! Perfect place for a little family get-away!
