Enjoy the bank of the St. John River from this quiet, serene location. This property has our Half Moon Cabin rental and 3 Full RV hook up (water sewer electric) and 2 Partial RV hook up (water and electric). We have an outdoor hot shower house and composting outhouse on site. The path to the water allows you to launch a canoe / kayak or fish from the bank of the river for a muskie or small mouth bass. A hammock chair overlooking the river is a great place to enjoy the peace that this view of river offers. You are only a few miles from 3 North Maine Woods gate entrances. You can easily explore the hiking in the Deboullie Public Lands located about 15 miles from this property. This property has direct access to ATV and snowmobile trails that the area has to offer.

Enjoy an Allagash experience in this quiet, serene location. We are tucked in at the end of a dead-end road. Snowmobile or ATV right to the cabin or canvas cabin (aka tent). If you prefer to trailer, there is plenty of parking where you can unload and ride up the trail 300' to the cabin. You can easily explore the hiking trails in the Deboullie Public Lands located about 15 miles from this property. We privately maintain trails on our property that can be enjoyed by walking, snowmobiling or ATVing. We provide a privately groomed snowmobile trail to connect to the main trail system. We are located only a few miles from 3 North Maine Woods gate entrances. You can sit back and enjoy the vast starry sky, enjoy a fire, inside the woodstove or outside at the fire pit. During winter months the deer meander freely around the property.

The cabin was perfect for us…had a very homey feel with everything we needed. Scenic and quiet but close to town for groceries, restaurants etc.
Hosts were wonderful with communication and suggestions for the area.

This property is very clean, well maintained and peaceful. There is easy access to numerous well marked ATV, snow mobile and hiking trails. The owners are super helpful and have thought of everything that will make the off grid camping experience a memorable one. Everyone in the surrounding area is friendly and willing to share their knowledge of the region. If you’re looking to spend a few quiet days away from it all, this is the camp to visit. I’ll be back again at my first opportunity!

Very quiet area & we never heard any other visitors or residents around us the entire stay. Expect rustic conditions, wildlife, & lots of shade. Very modern - running water from a mountain water well, lighting, propane stove & oven, a large kitchen counter, a kitchen table with four chairs, a super comfortable leather chair & ottoman, a jackknife sofa, a queen bed, & a set of bunk beds. There is also a very new wood burning stove with lots of wood. There is also a wall heater that is fueled by propane. Stocked with cutlery, service utensils, glasses, & mugs. Has a large Blackstone grill under cover. Chairs around the outside of the property. Owners supplied a large cooler.
• Outdoor sink. Two large picnic tables. Typical outhouse, is very new & close to front door. State owned bathroom just a few minute drive.
• Large outdoor shower with HOT water near front door.
• All amenities very easy to use just follow the directions.
• Mountain trails for hikes for every level of hiker with signs of wildlife.
• Nearby - Produce stand called Arnold’s Farm Market nearby.
• Fort Kent –Canadian Border Crossing & the Swamp Bucket restaurant.
• Presque Isle - coffee shops & The Riverside Inn Restaurant.
• Caribou – go to “Sleepers” for clothing & the bowling alley. HUGE!

Weekend Trip to Rugged & Re-Charged
This cabin and the surrounding land was absolutely beautiful! Unplugged and real camping without everyday luxuries is something everyone should do once in a while to eliminate all the noise. This camp was it! I would recommend 100x over! Definitely going back soon!

Mark’s place was perfect for a quiet few days away from the hustle and bustle. The guidebook was super specific and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay at the Half Moon Cabin. I went there on a fishing trip, and this was my first time in that beautiful area of Maine. The cabin was nice and clean, and exactly what I needed as a base camp and somewhere pleasant to return to after a long day of fishing. I hope to go back up there in the fall. This may become a new yearly tradition for me. Lori and Aaron were excellent hosts who were always attentive to any potential need I may have had. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area, I would certainly recommend the Half Moon Cabin or one of their other lodging options.

1 night at In Nature's Embrace
What a beautiful property! Ashlee was a great host and answered all of my questions. She had the wood stove going, so we arrived to a nice warm cabin (and even made sure my dog had pillows to lay on!) She met us briefly to ensure we found our way to the cabin and to make sure we were comfortable operating the wood stove and power pack. I left the front porch with my skis on and had endless trails to explore. Deer, moose, and rabbit tracks all over. The stars at night were amazing. This was a perfect cozy winter getaway. Looking forward to spending a weekend here during the fall months for some hunting on nearby public lands!

Ashlee was an awesome host and the cabin was lovely. It’s little, but well organized and has everything you need. The sleeping nook is cozy. The area and trails are beautiful, especially covered in snow. We saw fresh moose tracks and scat on the trail! My dog loved staying warm by the wood stove.
