3 nights at The Joshua On Hwy 61The location on US 61 was very nice, all level campsites plus packed down gravel access road. The front of the campground appeared to be an old roadside motel, but is actually apartments. The campsites were really good, had 50a, 30a, and 120 electrical, water hookup, and onsite sewage, all sites were mostly level (except for 19 & 20, I had to use shims on one side). Plus, A couple of very bright security lights illuminated the entire campground very well.
I never met the host. We communicated by text only, and only after I sent him an email informing him we arrived. Please note, there is NO internet or phone service!! There appears to be guest internet service, but it needed a password, which wasn’t provided to us. There is also a laundry room at the south end of the apartment building, and the host did provide the pass code for access.
Overall, we were pleased with the location, easy to find. The camp sites were well maintained and private. But, In my opinion, this location is not suited for a long term stay. Picnic tables were all located in the middle of a fire ant infested yard with barely any shade, & campsites are all lined up next to one another-especially if full capacity!
