THREE AVAILABLE RENTAL SPOTS
This is located on Beautiful Bayou Desiard. This is private property and is located near a main road that does have peak traffic as people go to and from work. Much quieter in evenings and weekends from reports from tenants. Property Manager is not on site. Self-Check in, with quick responses for any needs you may have.
*Red Caboose Car that sleeps four - Small but mighty. Full size daybed. Two twin upper bunks, complete with small lamps, wall fans and chargers bedside. View of the Bayou from Living, Kitchenette, and Bunk area. Shower and bathroom. Small private back patio area.
*Tent camping spot - Dedicated spot to pop your tent or have us pop one for you. Picnic table, Fire pit and dock as shared space.
* RV Spot - Dedicated spot to park your RV with a view of the Bayou! Water and Electricity.

2 nights at Bayou Choo Choo and Bayou Views
Bayou ChooChoo is such a unique stay! It’s in the heart of monroe, but also directly on Bayou Desiard. The dock is perfect for relaxing and fishing. Jen is thoughtful with the special details of the stay, and really makes you feel at home. The caboose is cozy, and has everything you need. I definitely plan to be back.

Weekend Trip to Bayou Choo Choo and Bayou Views
A last minute trip turned into an amazing adventure! Bayou Choo Choo was a wonderful experience. The experience starts when you round the curve and see the red caboose on the banks of the bayou. Climbing aboard transports you back to childhood. The decorations and details will melt your heart and make you chuckle in the same breath. The small space is laid out well and it feels bigger than it really is. Jen has put a lot of thought into the layout uses the small space well. There is a keurig, microwave and a fridge with freezer. The bathroom is small, but I am a big guy and had no issues. The shower feels bigger than it is. Jen was available to help answer questions and even provided some restaurant recommendations.
Although we can to watch baseball, we found our way to the Chennault museums, did some shopping and walked along the bayou. Jen was gracious and kind. We reached out to book a place to stay and feel like we made a friend.
