Howdy, campers, We removed our 10-paragraph description, our reviews and photos say it all. Feel free to ask any questions, we will get back to you ASAP. Before you ask: Yes, we have two outdoor showers. Yes, you can use a propane camp stove or cook at our common area bbq in front of the barn where we light a real wood fire for campers to socialize with us, other campers and visit our speakeasy. Yes, we provide propane for the propane fire pits. Yes, your dog can run off-leash. Yes, each site has a picnic table, umbrella, propane fire pit. Most sites have a hammock and hammock stand. Please pack your trash out there is a dumpster at the front gate entrance/exit for your trash. Please close your umbrella when your not at the site, especially when it's windy. We have lost far to many very expensive solar light umbrellas due to the wind when it picks up. Please support our farm by buying eggs, hats, stickers, and other items, all for sale in the barn. This is Glamping at its best! We have two cabins that have kitchens with mini frig, microwaves and sinks. Complimentary coffee and tea as well. Very comfortable queen beds. Each cabin has a living room and table area along with gas fireplaces inside and A/C. Outdoor courtyard area with firepit, picnic tables and string lights to enjoy the days or evenings.  Each cabin sleeps two but both can be rented to sleep four. This is an incredibly historic site in Santa Barbara history. 2 tribes of Chumash Indians lived here for 10,000 years. This is where Spain landed and began colonizing the area. In the 1950's and 60's, this was the site of the World's largest orchid farm. There is a book called The Royal Rancho, if you are a history buff. We are a farm on the beach just North of Santa Barbara and Goleta, Ca. You will camp in a historic, glass greenhouse with incredible ocean views. Inside is a cob pizza oven that works awesome. (Bring your own firewood),,, a place to pitch tents and tiny artistic structures to explore. You will have a private bath and shower (Primitive, no electricity, but the hot shower has the best view in the world of any shower!) Bring your own toiletries and whatnot. Private beach access from our property. We have a barnyard with a multitude of farm animals. Limited electricity in greenhouse (A couple of extension chords). The fire ban is ONLY for open campfires. The pizza oven and YOUR bbq or propane flame is fine. If you are camping during the rain, be advised, it gets wet in the greenhouse. It's an antique after all!

I absolutely loved staying in the cabin. Booked last minute and everything was clean and ready upon arrival. The cabin is 'rustic' meaning not fully insulated from weather and sound but it comes equipped w heaters, ac and even a noise machine to block out outside sound. Bed was comfortable with plenty of extra blankets for the chilly nights and fans to use during the warmer daytime. The only hiccup I had was that the wifi was not working and it was in a dead zone for my cell. Host was immediately responsive but I was never able to get the wifi to work. Town is less then 5 minutes away so I decided to just go without during most of my stay but if this is a deal breaker for you its good to know. Overall its a delightful alternative to pricey hotels in the area or to camping w less amenities and we will definitely be back again next time we are in the area.

3 nights at Hazel Homestead- Central Coast Farm

My HipCamp experience @ Hazel Homestead was great! The place was extremely convenient to everywhere I wanted to visit (Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, Morro Rock/Bay) - anywhere from 10-30 miles. There are so many things to do and visit in the area. I travel in a camper van, so safety, accessibility, and convenience is important for me. The proprietors were there to welcome me, but then left me alone unless I needed them. Hookups to electric and water were easy and very well maintained. The campsite was spotless and modern. Many extras were available such as fresh eggs, cocktail hour in a "tricked out" shed conversion (very well done), fire pit for relaxing in the evenings. In addition, maneuvering in the website with this HipCamp host was set up to make reservations easy. Everything was so well done. I will definitely book here again, as this was one of the best HipCamp sites I have ever stayed.

Ricky and Nathan were very personable kind and caring and explained how to operate everything for a seamless and very enjoyable stay . The yurt-like tent was spacious well decorated and warm at night . The outdoor private covered cabana offered a table barbecue cooking facility and all the cookware one could need . Bathroom and shower were private and clean. Outside fire pit surrounded by comfortable chairs . The views were spectacular. The Terrain which included level as well as gently sloping features Offered excellent hiking and meditation vistas . The night sky was filled with billions of stars and morning calm was met with beautiful sounds of the animals waking . We enjoyed petting and visiting the goats ,pigs ,chickens and the roosters. We look forward to our return and staying for longer.

Tom was a fantastic host. Had the place to myself that evening and it was spacious and peaceful. There was an owls nest in the tree behind me. Super cool. Would absolutely recommend and close to everything.

Weekend Trip to Sun Outdoors Santa Barbara

This campground and RV Park is great! The grounds are clean, well manicured and spacious. There are some great roads for kids to ride their bikes on and the heated swimming pool is the perfect temperature, even in Winter. The site booking on Hipcamp as of the time of writing this is pretty bad - you don't get to choose your own spot on a map, so maybe hit up the company website until they fix this part. I did have a bit of a booking snafu and Hipcamp stepped right up and took care of it, so I love that about Hipcamp!

Great communication from Lisa. Her property is very well-kept. We stayed the night n our adventure van. Very comfortable. And don’t miss the opportunity to visit the bakery, Bob’s Well Bread. A short walk from the property.

We loved having our own table and fire pit to enjoy at our campsite.

Weekend Trip to Hazel Homestead- Central Coast Farm

We had such a wonderful stay at this RV rental on the farm. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel completely comfortable and welcomed us with a tour of the property. They were incredibly laid-back, friendly, and easy to talk to, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The property itself is absolutely immaculate, and the RV was spotless—both inside and out. You can truly tell how much care they put into maintaining the space. Everything was clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully prepared. One of our favorite parts was the free-roaming chickens—they added such a charming, peaceful touch to the farm experience. Overall, this was a relaxing and memorable stay, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and welcoming getaway.
