We offer cozy real log cabins for Daily or Weekly rental, open year round for all your seasons of fun and relaxation, and of course we gladly welcome your family pets!
Nearby attractions and activities include a number of peaceful lakes for boating and fishing, several excellent golf-courses, horseback riding and hiking.
For the less sports-minded, we've also got the petrified forest and several museums nearby, a number of local antique, gift and woodcarving shops, and plenty of wildlife and bird watching!

This place is a little slice of Heaven! Cute and quaint cabin, with a spacious loft and homey feel. There were a ton of great hiking spots with beautiful views on these 40 acres. My German Shepherd enjoyed swimming in the pond, artistically lined with cattails and full of friendly fish. The other pond was a bit overgrown, but still a sight to see. The night sky is perfect for star gazing, away from city lights. “Cabin by the Pond” is definitely a great place to go to escape the business of life!

Cabin by the Pond was a really nice place. Michele was very accessible and was a pleasure to deal with. If you like to fish…. The pond closest to the cabin was full of Bluegill and a few Black Bass. We never tried the second pond as it was difficult to reach due to overgrown reeds. All in all, we would definitely return and recommend!!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the cabin. We fished at the ponds multiple times a day. My dogs were able to run free and enjoy nature. One of the best experiences we have had and we did not even deep dive everything. Michele was very responsive and helpful if we needed anything. Would love to come back!

Awesome place. Super clean and spacious. Host even left out a bottle of bubbly for us. There’s a Dollar General across the road and a Brewery next to the store. Hot Tub was awesome. Highly Recommend this location.

Loved Michele and John’s cabin and the property! There were 2 stocked ponds for catch-n-release and lots of places to explore. The cabin had everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay with activities to keep you busy. Sounds weird but loved the shower as well lol! Would love to stay again if we are back out this way!

Overall, it was a great experience staying at John and Michele's property with my wife and our 5-month-old! The only minus was that the room was not as clean as expected. The regular cleaning person was not available that day, and it seems her sub didn't do a good job. (but Michele and John were very responsive and attentive to this, which is appreciated)
Here are the high-lights
- The location is perfect for us, perfect distance to the main road (i had some bad experience in the past due to the site being to close to the main road, could be too loud)
- The cabin is very well furnished, you get both what you looking for for a glamping, and you also have everything handy just like the hotels, it's very helpful when we traveled with a baby
- The pond and the surrounding view is gorgeous, its better than what's show in the pictures of the listing!
- We came to visit in the winter time, it has heating, but not very strong, gladly, I found there are electric heaters upstairs we can use to stay warm at night (it's cold outside at night in winter time)
It's only 45 min to Petrified Forest NPS, if you are planning for a trip there it's a great place to stop by. Bummer we only stayed there for 1 night, we'll come back again!

This is a nice, level pad in a quiet neighborhood. Simple, but does the trick and very close to town. It fit our needs perfectly!

The campground is clean and the sites are spacious, but there are no enforced time restrictions on campers running generators. It is situated near the road, so you will hear early morning and late-night traffic. Also, we were there during monsoon season, and after a heavy rain, many discovered their tent sites were graded so that water pooled and puddled under the tent sites! Many had to move tents and some slept in their cars. Super amiable camp host and close to hiking and boating. Half of these sites are bookable in advance through recreation.gov

The sites are spacious- although, it was uncrowded during our stay. The host was personable and helpful and the sites were clean and well-maintained, with a nice mixture of sun and shade. The campground is close to the rim trail and Woods Canyon Lake and we enjoyed our stay. However, many tent sites have been cleared in a way so that if there is substantial rainfall, several inches of rain will collect underneath your tent! We were there during monsoon season and many tent campers needed to move their tents after a significant storm, and some campers spent the night in their vehicle. There is a road running alongside the campground and you will hear cars and trucks on the road from time to time, including late at night and early morning.

Get there early and find a spot on the edge of the canyon. Stay to the left on the dirt road.

Much quieter than woods canyon but not on lake. There is a small general store at woods canyon about 10 mins away.

Never camped here but spent so much of my life hiking this area. If you haven't gone, go. Go in fall when the leaves are changing. The spring is gorgeous, but gets pretty windy. There are tons of trails in this area and all are beautiful
