There is nothing that I didn’t love about my stay in Geri & Pats treehouse! The property is unassuming at first but the more you explore, the more you’re captivated by all of its beauty and craftsmanship. It’s a hidden diamond in the rough with views that will take your breath away. Located 5 min from the N Saskatchewan River, with lots of little swim spots to explore. My only regret is not staying longer. I can’t wait to go back!

4 nights at Collinswood Retreat

The Happy Hut was perfect. The hosts were great. I didn't get a chance to shower or use the sauna but my friends who I was with did and they were very satisfied. Having the little space heater in the Hut was a lifesaver as it was rainy and cold on Saturday. It allowed me to warm up when I needed to. What a great set up everything was throughout the retreat grounds. I never felt like anything was missing. They checked all my boxes for a nice effortless camping experience. The Happy Hut's bed was very comfy and had very nice bedding on it. It kept me warm even without the space heater on.

What a cool place to stay and explore. We had a small family in the Rosebud Cafe and a couple of us tenting in Woodbend. It’s tough to find a mix of glamping and tenting but this was awesome. Lots of trails to explore and keep us busy. The sauna provided necessary relief from a torrential downpour and the cliff side claw foot tub allowed for some quiet down time. Geri was an excellent host and her communication was impeccable. Honestly can’t think of anything we needed that wasn’t provided and I can’t think of any suggestions to make it better. It’s always cool to see what someone can do with a little imagination and a whole lot of hard work. Will definitely be coming back again to visit this gem of a place.

2 nights at Collinswood Retreat

I usually don't like leaving reviews for places I love and enjoy because I want to gatekeep them to myself and share only with people who are important to me. However, my boyfriend insisted that I write one. So, here I am letting you know that you don't need to think twice - just book it and experience the relaxing and calming getaway we had. Just bring your clothes, food, and maybe an extra light if you're scared of the dark. If you want to escape from the city and have a quiet time, you will love it here.

My group had an incredibly good time staying here. The owners were super accommodating of my larger group, the Poppy Bus was cool, and the land was beautiful and quiet- we barely heard or saw anyone other than the hosts. There’s so many little amenities available that made all the difference! I really appreciate how the Bus felt so retro and comfortable while still retaining a lot of charm- the working switches by the drivers seat, the curtains, and the front door stood out a lot to my group as being neat.

Loved the outdoor shower and the fabulous “throne room”. The lightly cleared forest hikes were special, the birds, the butterflies, the wildflowers! Piper, the dog was too cool- ‘what? No treats?’ Best site so far on my road trip.

Amazing experience! The property is beautiful with a ton of trails for exploring. The washroom was frequently cleaned and the shower is hot. Yoga on the platform with Geri is a must! We will definitely be back to stay in one of the many neat guest locations.

I absolutely had the best time out here. The bed was very comfortable and everything was as described. The only thing that was off, was the bath. But it was quickly fixed and they even offered the sauna for us. I highly recommend staying here. I will be coming back with my girlfriends

We had an amazing experience at this campsite! It was our first time staying at a private campground, and it was excellent. Communication with the owners was outstanding — they were friendly, responsive, and helpful. The day after we arrived, a fire ban was announced. Thankfully, the owners kindly offered to rent us a propane fire pit, which truly saved our trip. We had been considering going back home, but thanks to their help, we were able to stay and enjoy the rest of our time. This spot will definitely stay on our list of favorite campgrounds!

We really enjoyed our stay in the yurt. Everything was very well thought out - we found everything we needed for a great weekend. The yurt is very clean and cozy, and we loved the privacy of the surrounding forest. Lots of birdsong and a great horned owl hooting at night. For those with a horror of outhouses, this one is very clean, doesn’t smell at all (thanks to a generous supply of sawdust) and even has an an automatic light that pops on after nightfall. We were a bit worried about being cold overnight but the blankets provided were more than enough to keep us warm in the cool early June weather.

We stayed at the first camping spot and absolutely loved it! The area was peaceful, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature. It was just a short walk to the lake, which made it even better. The spot was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. We would definitely come back again!

Collin’s Wood is a very special place indeed. The land was bought by my grandfather years ago when he moved to Canada from England and wanted to chase his log cabin dream. Our main cabin my family built from trees on the land, entirely by hand. We have photos of the trees being cut and the bark being peeled off. Since then, we’ve made many changes out there, we now have a guest cabin that used to be a Teacheridge (back when teachers would live in a one room building beside the school), eventually it was turned into a cafe and now it sits on our land as a guest cabin. This place is so magical. With a quarter section of land I grew up running through the forest with my friends and learning about what the land has to offer. My parents have spent every spare weekend out there making this paradise into what it is today. All the buildings were created by my family through labour and love. We’ve hosted weddings, and family reunions. We hope you appreciate how special this place is. Come see for yourself!

Enjoy Private Tent Camping in a Pristine Aspen Forest with a fire pit and picnic table. All within 500 feet of Sylvan Lake. This is the perfect place to disconnect yourself from the city! Your fee includes free access to 120 acres of forest, excellent wildlife viewing and unlimited deadfall to use as firewood, if you don't mind some manual labour. My kids cut and split firewood if you would like some waiting at your site when you arrive. We have seasoned and split bundles for $10 and you can pre-purchase them when you complete your checkout. It's like a lemonade stand for them...just more work. ;) A professionally maintained porta-potty is on-site for your comfort. We are pet-friendly! If you enjoy the water, this is an ideal location for Kayaking, Paddleboarding or just lounging on an air mattress. With its picturesque scenery and shallow shoreline, Sylvan Lake is a great place to spend some time.
