We are an Ohio Century Farm located in historic North Bend, Ohio. Single-family owned since 1855, our farm is located only 20 minutes outside of downtown Cincinnati but feels as if you are in the country side. Our campsites are located within a easy 5 minute walk of our on-farm distillery, winery, market, and food truck.
Part of our 300 acre property is part of the conservation easement that makes up the "Oxbow," a migratory bird and waterfowl area that is popular among birdwatchers in the spring and autumn seasons. We have a large eagle population along with a host of other raptors.

Gravel driveway leads up to both spots. We do try to keep it maintained, but frequently rain causes ruts faster than we can fill. It should not impede drivability, but use caution and feel free to ask if you have any concerns. #1 improvement planned is paving driveway. You may also experience some vehicle noise from roadway. Typically, as we are on a back road, it is fairly quiet but some drivers may be louder than others and some evenings see more traffic.
Level gravel area for RV parking, second plateau available for multiple tent sites. Campfires in designated area.
Deer, wild turkeys, opossums, crows and raccoons are plentiful and often wander through. Less common are foxes and bald eagles that make their home at Doe Run Lake nearby.
Main home on property but only close enough for assistance, not interference.
Property is close to Creation Museum and the Ark. 10 minutes from restaurants and expressway but feels like a retreat. Ask about special discounts if visiting these attractions.
Discounts also available for single parents & military.
Included: Wi-fi, trash, private area for camp toilet, fire ring, water, and extension cord electric. Grill & patio table at site 2.
Available in extras: Camp stove, fire wood, tent and chair rentals.
Please be considerate and do not drive behind the house. There is no safe turnaround past the house parking by the deck.
We are not set up for long term stays, including consecutive bookings to get around time frames.

What once started in the mid 1800's as a 240 acre sugar maple tree farm is now our little 18 acres of heaven on earth. Our house was built on the property in 1875.
The land is rolling and dotted with flower beds, animals, and beautiful green grass that is mowed weekly. We are bordered by fields and a cemetery that dates back to the 1800's.We are neighbors with those who grow crops, raise beef cows, bison, and alpacas.2 blocks from our driveway is Blue River which offers fishing, kayaking, tubing, and canoeing (if you have your own equipment). Town is 2 minutes away, but there is not much there other than a convenience gas station, aTodd's Great Outdoor Bait Shop, and an engine repair shop. There are often festivals, open Music Jams and community events. "Civilization" is a 30 minute drive to find movies, grocery, shopping, and a public pool. The sky appears to be scattered with diamonds on a clear night and during season the fireflies light the trees up like twinkling lights at Christmas!

We also have just put in a new out house and have a port-a-potty for our campers to use. We are 10 minutes from Interstate 70 and only 30 minutes from Indianapolis. If you are just passing through or arriving late, let us know and we will be happy to have a campfire started for you.

Learn more about this land: Welcome to One Earth Collaborative, a 12-acre land restoration project where nature, community, and creativity come together. Our land is cared for by artists, naturalists, musicians, educators, and land stewards who share a passion for restoring ecosystems and creating meaningful connections with the natural world.
The property stretches from the remains of the historic bridge to the Oregonia Road bridge along the Little Miami River. You’ll find open fields, an organic garden, seasonal sunflowers, and a beautiful riverside forest filled with towering sycamores, cottonwoods, and other native trees.
All campsites are primitive and designed to immerse you in nature. Trails begin near the firewood area and lead to tent sites tucked throughout the forest and along the river.
Our central fire pit serves as a shared gathering space for campfires, music, conversation, and community. A staircase provides access to the river for all guests to enjoy.
To help everyone have a peaceful experience, please set up your tent within a reasonable distance of the main fire pit while still allowing neighboring campers privacy. We ask that all guests respect the land, fellow campers, and the quiet beauty of this shared space.
Whether you’re here to unplug, paddle the river, explore the woods, listen to birdsong, or simply relax beneath the trees, we hope you’ll feel at home here.

Summer is wrapping up and it's not going out quietly. Big Storms! and more Big storms have left their marks and created some cleanup duties for us! The steamy weather has created a very lush, very green Away. We can't wait to see what Autumn does with all this greenery!
Many dates are booked for guests or maintenance. But reach out if there's a date you're looking for - we might have wiggle room.
Away sits at the entry point to western Boone County in Northern Kentucky — neighbor to Cincinnati, Rabbit Hash, and the Ohio River. Our 27 acres mark where rolling farmland gives way to steep, forested hillsides. Our end-of-the-road ridgetop is private by nature. Campsites are tucked in woods shared with turkey, deer, owls, and woodpeckers. Wander wide strolling paths, single-track hiking trails, open fields, and forest — or settle onto the porch of a historic log home.
Curvy, scenic roads lead quickly from the paved world of Union, KY to us — and
onward to the Rabbit Hash General Store, the Ohio River, Dinsmore Homestead, Middle Creek Park, Big Bone State Park, and the Creation Museum. Boating, kayaking, biking, hiking, or lazing in tiny riverfront towns, all just minutes away.
We're a quieter, acoustic kind of place. Great for travelers passing through or locals needing a quick and beautiful outing. Solo campers, friends, families — newbies or seasoned. Drive-in sites make loading and unloading easy.
Amenities: Privacy! We book only two sites at a time, set far apart and wrapped in woods. Also included: an exceptional outhouse, tables, fire rings, lanterns, and a Welcome kit (paper, fatwood, lighter, candle). Firewood available for purchase onsite.
Site 1 – Open Sky — A large field edged by forest. Fits solo or groups, tents to small campers. Extras: hammock, trampoline, badminton & cornhole by request. The largest, easist to access site and closest to all amenties.
Site 2 – Gobbler's Knob — Cozier. A small rise surrounded by woods. Short walk to the outhouse and firewood shed. Park on-site or at the entrance, just 50' away.
Site 3 – Henry's Holler — By request only. 4WD exclusively. Read full site description before requesting.
All sites welcome tents, small pop-ups, pull-behind trailers, and hammocks.

Bring your canoe or kayak ... or simply rent one from the lake! This park offers free launching of your person watercraft. The campground is covered in tall old growth trees creating a beautifully shaded area to relax by the fire. BEWARE of the raccoons! They will invite themselves to dinner, rummage thru your belongings, and scoff at your attempts of scaring them away.

Great for sailing, not so much for camping. Maybe our mistake was visiting the campgrounds during Labor Day weekend. The place was packed, and there was loads of noise from other campers, dogs, music, etc. I would love to find a place that's a bit more secluded.
July 2015
The biggest draw for me is that we've had relatives stay in the on-site lodge while we stayed in the campground. Everybody wins.
