As an organic farm, we put alot of effort into soil building and as such, there are soft places that will be damaged by the weight of a vehicle. Staying on the driveway is best. We will guide you to where you need to go. Our road is paved, but bumpy. We have an outdoor kitchen with a 2 burner stove, fridge, copper drinking water container, and a 250 gallon water tank for washing dishes. We have a professionally built outhouse style Humanure Composting toilet. We are less than 200 feet from the paved road so any vehicle will be able to drive straight onto the land. The land is located in a very safe part of the neighborhood with great neighbors closeby (but not too close)!

This is an awesome spot! I think this is exactly what a hip camp should be: feels remote, special, private, and very comfortable. Mae has you covered in so many ways. We arrived at the end of a light rain shower, and were so happy to find a covered set of table and chairs under her dome that were bone dry! The place is right off 11, which gets you to Hilo or the National Park. A nice hot outdoor shower with a view of the ocean! Can't get much better than that to start your day.

Weekend Trip to Jacaranda Ridge

We had a wonderful time staying there and Brannon was a fantastic host and took great care of us. The ocean view was amazing and it was nice to have so much open space. Also the other people staying there were really fun to hang out with and it was a great community. Also the location is really easy to get to and the roads are good all the way there. The L&L Hawaiian Barbecue restaurant was right down the road and it had great food

The space as great! It had a wonderful view with very level and soft ground for our tents. The indoor bathroom was awesome. However my advice would be to bring your own water, it had a bit of a tangy taste was totally fine to drink. Highly, highly recommend!

My kids and I have been wanting to camp here for a while and finally had the chance to. Very accessible and easy to get to. Beautiful, well taken care of land. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus. Also, owner responded to messages quickly. Would definitely stay again. 10/10 recommend.

This spot was just what we needed for the night. It was pouring rain for days and the host said it would be best to stay on the tennis court above the pool. It worked out fine although wasn't as nature-y of a vibe as we expected but we were glad to be closer to the bathroom and showers with all the rain. The spot seemed like you could have a fire if you stayed out where campers usually stay. There wasn't as much privacy at the bathroom as I would've expected but it was fine if people did the normal precautions of communicating in a public place. There were no solid doors on any of the toilets or showers though if that were something that might bother you. The facilities were clean and functioned great. We really just spent our sleeping hours here and that worked great for us!

Weekend Trip to Wild Blue Water Ranch

We really enjoyed this spot and it worked great for our travels around this side of the island. Having access to the pool/hot tub, flushing toilet/shower, and the amazing cliff side view made this a top notch spot for us. We stayed in our camper van which worked great for the area we were given. Loved the pups and their greeting each time. We didn't see much of other guests or the hosts which was fine by us. If you wanted to, I am sure you could engage more but we really just cooked dinner and slept at this spot and didn't spend much of our days there so not a lot of opportunity to interact. We didn't ever use the potable water on the site so can't comment on that and we didn't connect to the wifi. Otherwise, the only other comment is that our van did fine on the road in as long as we drove slow but a truck had slid off and gotten stuck one evening in the rain. So be sure to take it slow and stay on the middle of the road as much as possible I guess.

Stunning views! This unique seaside property provides plenty of open grass area for tent and RV camping. They have a hot tub and a pool offered for guest use. Ocean view point has been our favorite spot of the property, great for sun rise and sunset. There’s a clean bathroom and shower. The host was very friendly, everyone on the property were respectful to one another. We highly recommend this place!!

Mae is the most wonderful host! She is kind, helpful, and very responsive. Her property is beautiful and perfectly situated between the national Park and the amenities of Pahoa and Hilo. Hike all day or hop into town for groceries and the zoo. The kids loved playing volleyball, disk golf, and catching little fish in her pond. 100% would stay with her again!

We have space for a number of tents on the camping lawn.

We had a great time at Arnott’s in our camper van. The place felt safe and has a cool community feel among the guests that we really enjoyed. The staff are very welcoming, including a very friendly cat that greeted us upon arrival. The bathroom and shower were well-maintained and a great place to clean up after a few days of more remote camping. We had no problem quickly finding an Uber to and from downtown Hilo for dinner. Just book it! Mahalo 🤙

Robert was very communicative with directing us to the site and where to stay once we arrived and where amenities were located! We liked being on the property for the night and really loved having a nice, very clean bathroom and shower! We were the only ones on the property that evening but you might have neighbors close if there were multiple groups staying at one time! This spot was a great choice for us in this southern area of the island!

Stock up on groceries because you will not want to leave this paradise. Shawn was so helpful and knowledgeable. The dogs were sweet and loved playing with the kids. There were tree swings, lime trees, fresh avocados, and the pool and hot tub were the most amazing perks! Swam every day! One bathroom shared between all campers, but it was clean and there are hot showers. Definitely a step up from how we normally camp. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed our time in this campground! It had a public gazebo that would be helpful with inclement weather conditions as well as three large outdoor fire places! Our spot had a grill but no fire pit. The bathrooms were very clean with flushing toilets and running water sinks as well as a sink outside with running water to fill water tanks or wash! The site is fairly close to the highway but traffic really slowed down after 9 o'clock! There were trash and recycling cans everywhere and a dumpster which made it easy to keep the area clean! We enjoyed our stay here!

One of the very best US National Parks!

This park is spectacular and special! We rode our motorcycles through rainforest, lava fields, and along the coastline, and we did some truly unique hikes, including across the Kilauea Iki crater and along its upper rim. The park wasn't crowded, and we enjoyed every minute we spent there.

Volcano national park a must see

Saw the volcano during the day and night and both times and it didn’t disappoint. We brought the whole family and everybody loved it despite kids thinking it was gonna be boring.

Check out the Kahuku unit of the park. Beautiful rolling hills, old growth ohia forests. Secluded. Wonderful views of Ka'u.

There are several great viewing spots of the volcano! Highly recommend seeing it during the day and also at night. Plenty of great walking trails but many areas were easily accessible with just a short walk from the parking lot.
