Within a 30-minute drive from the Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park Visitor Center.

Mostly rugged undisturbed old growth Ohia jungle forest with wild pig trails. Cleared camping spots near property entrance. Very private and secure. Close to Volcanoes National Park and Hirano Store which serves hot meals. I rent parking spaces for car camping. Larger spaces for long term RV parking and storage. Tent camping spots and tent and sleeping bag rentals. No power available. No water available on site. It is very wet here but never cold or very hot. This is at 2200 feet elevation in the Puna rainforest. Easy access right off Highway 11 then pavement for 2 miles to improved gravel for 1/4 mile. Gated private road to the camping spots. Dogs & pets are welcome but cannot run loose. Great hunting for wild boar on my property too. Lots of wild fruit & berries free for the picking. Super quiet location away from neighbors. No open fires allowed. No excessive alcohol consumption. Owner lives on site with 2 dogs. Come explore my place and experience the local vibes.Very private and secure.
