If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
You just couldn’t meet a nicer family! Lots of wide open spaces to camp. Horses, chickens, cattle, and two super friendly dogs. I uploaded additional photos to show more of the property. Thank you, Linda and Jay!
This is a wonderful location with very friendly dogs, horses, and a cat (though make sure you clarify to the dogs and cat that they shouldn't expect to come with you into your tent).
The only thing we wish was different was the interaction with the hosts. We didn't hear anything from them and didn't realize they wouldn't be home. So when we arrived, we didn't know if they were there, and after guessing they weren't, we were sitting at some point wondering if they would arrive. There's no problem with a host not being there, but letting us know that would've been good especially considering how remote the location is.
That said, we'd definitely go back. Such a beautiful location!
Quiet Cattle Ranch was a beautiful lot with several fun features. We camped here over labor day weekend and easily found the scenic location with Linda's directions. We set up camp and took a walk around the lot and were greeted by the friendliest dog you will ever have the pleasure of petting, a few curious horses, some mountainy peaks, an old barn, and a beautiful sunset over the lot across the street.
From the start, Linda was easy to reach and super friendly. On the land is a house and below the house she runs an airb&b. It's very clean, well maintained, and well decorated. Since no one as staying there she let us use her bathrooms which was such a great amenity.
All in all our stay at the Quiet Cattle Ranch was relaxing, beautiful, and a positive experience. Linda was one of the kindest people I have had the chance to converse with and I would stay at this location again in a heartbeat!
Linda was very welcoming - we came in late with a uhaul and set up camp by a horse pasture. Saw multiple shooting stars - gorgeous night sky with zero light pollution - and played with her friendly dog. We woke to a chorus of bugs, birds, and a rooster. The sunrise was beautiful. Perfect way to start the day.
So fun and beautiful!
This was the highlight of our cross country trip! Easy to find, lovely and truly peaceful setting, and Linda and family were so lovely!
My son got to meet the chickens, ducks, turkey and pigs, and we watched the horses and cattle early in the morning. So fun. We are considering rerouting our return trip to stay here again!
A great spot to regroup after a few days of stressful driving. I was glad to be in a vehicle rather than a tent, as I was treated to a spectacular lightning and thunderstorm, high winds, and torrential rain! By morning it was calm and sunny!
