This land has been asking to be shared. First it was swings and little things for the grandchildren and their friends. Then the Cabin by the pond began to welcome visitors. Soon the steep slope anchored a Yurt with a wrap-around deck that puts you up in the trees. Our gathering spot by the creek became a camp site. Recently the grandkids' Bunk House found its way in. Our Retreat is 10 acres, narrow, but 1/4 mile deep, stretching down a steep wooded slope to a creek - and up the other side to the top of a bluff. It is only ten miles to Jefferson City but has a quiet and distant feel.

Mystical Yurt Floating in the Trees

Restful yurt, Comfortable bed, large deck that feels to be hanging in the trees, and a hammock. This entire experience has been crafted to relax and refresh you with the simple joys of peaceful proximity with nature. Pets allowed OUTSIDE only, but this is a wonderful place for Fido to enjoy running in the forest.

The Bunk House is an 8 by 12 foot shed with 3-4 bunks. There is a twin sized bed across the back, a bunk sized bed on each side and a plank to pull out to accommodate a fourth person in the middle over the walkway. Then you have an 8 by 10 foot bed. We have foam mattresses, sheets, blankets and pillows. There is an air-conditioner and a heater. Bucket toilet behind and hose for water and showers. Fire ring available. No pets. This is a very simple, yet comfortable space. On the property is a swimming pool for you to use - in season. And there's a fire ring nearby that you - and guests from other units - can share. We provide a load of firewood if you want. There is also a trail - 1/4 mile round trip, to a creek at the bottom of our property. It is steep at times and a bit muddy if it's been raining...

This little Cabin is simple but comfortable. The bed is great. There is a long desk in front of big windows and the door looks out onto the pond. Water is available in a large dispenser and there is a camp toilet. Pets allowed OUTSIDE only, but this is a great place for you pet to enjoy the freedom of the.outdoors

Mystical Yurt Floating in the Trees

The yurt itself was very inviting, and the wood stove was easy enough to enjoy. The weather itself was less than perfect, but that is how camping goes, even hip, yurt camping. Bill himself was wonderfully communicative, so that there were no troubles finding and using the yurt.

Great little countryside retreat!

The Bunk House

My husband and I loved the Bunkhouse on sight! It was a great little place to escape from our long road trip and the relentless rain storms we'd driven through all day. Bill was very helpful and we passed a nice quiet night there. We'll be staying there again!
