Get ready for a peaceful camping experience in this one-of-a-kind setting! For all styles of camping units as well as rustic tent camping. Also, beginning in June 2025, we have one camper we can rent, a 2023 Geo Pro 19 foot with bunkhouse. A two nite minimum is required. $125 per night gets the site with electric, water, and firewood. This rate will be added to the calendar when we receive interest for the booking. We live in farming country, with only a few houses on our road. We know most of our neighbors as friends or relatives. Our camping area only has four sites so it’s cozy and private. We have about 5 acres land for use around the campsite and lots of wooded trails nearby. We are about 2 miles from Burt Lake, and about 10 miles from other waterways, rivers and streams, and Lake Michigan. we are also 4 miles from biking and ORV trails. There is also a dedicated stargazing field with an amazing view of the night sky!

Get ready for a peaceful camping experience in this one-of-a-kind setting! For all styles of camping units. Campsite is modern with electric and water hookup. We have an electric adapter on site to reduce 30 amp to a normal 15 amp circuit., if needed. When you arrive you’ll go past the 3 story white house for a short distance until you see a sign on the left “Hidden Meadow” and you’ll turn here which will lead you to the campground. Follow the sign for Site #1 which will be in the north part of the campground. We have no street lights so the night sky is full of stars. Truly breathtaking! You will have an above ground fire pit with a 20 inch diameter removable grill and free firewood for your entire stay. There is also a large community fire pit in the sand pit to the east of the campground for larger cooking endeavors or to sit around and enjoy. There is a Porta John nearby for your convenience and a heated shower in a zip up shower tent. RV dump station available on premises at no extra charge. There are several yard games nearby to play. NOTE: We run water to this site until November 1 when the temperatures are too cold to continue.

When you arrive you’ll go past the 3 story white house for a short distance until you see a sign on the left “Hidden Meadow” and you’ll turn here which will lead you to the campground. Look for sign with #3 on a post in southeast part of the campground. We have no street lights so the night sky is full of stars. Truly breathtaking! You will have an above ground fire pit with a removable grill and free firewood for your entire stay. There is also a large community fire pit in the sand pit to the east of the campground for larger cooking endeavors or to sit around and enjoy. There is a Porta John nearby for your convenience and a heated outdoor shower nearby. There is 30 amp electric service and water spigot in the site. We have an electric adapter on site to reduce 30 amp to a normal 15 amp circuit., if needed. RV dump station available on premises at no extra charge. There are several yard games nearby to play. NOTE: We run water to this site until November 1 when the temperatures are too cold to continue.

There is no faucet for water in your site, but you can fill a jug from a hose bib near the shower or in one of the other campsites if it’s not being used. My pup & I loved camping on Phil's land! There were other campers but it was still so quiet and peaceful. I stayed in the rustic #4 spot and I appreciated the extremely clean vault toilet nearby complete with soap and water next to it. There were so many added touches like free firewood & kindling, & games. I can't wait to return!

This spot was a wonderful location for a great price. There was lots of wood and kindling provided to stay warm by the fire, we never got bored because Phil has plenty of yard games to play while at camp. Petoskey was less than 30 minutes away and we even found a wonderful nature preserve nearby called the Agnes S. Andreae Nature Preserve that I would highly recommend. Phil was quick with any questions and was often seen on site making improvements to the campgrounds. We truly had everything we needed and would happily stay again!

Phil’s Hidden Meadow is an absolute gem. A centralized location, just off I-75 and about 10 miles from Petoskey makes it ideal for those exploring Northern Michigan. Rustic site #4 is tucked away on a nice level parcel. Perfect layout for solar power. Each site is complete with fire ring, firewood and kindling, trash can, patio table with umbrella. Modern sites have electricity. There is a shower stall, water spigot, toilet and wash basin in the communal area. Toilet #2 is near the rustic site 4. Stargazers will love this camp spot as there is a designated clearing for stargazing. From big rigs to small overlanding rigs to tent set-ups, Phil can accommodate you. I don’t think a day goes by that Phil isn’t working to improve upon his HipCamp. It’s a great stay, off the beaten path. Check out his yard games, too!
