This is the first place we would look if back in the area. It was so easy to set up with multiple electric options and so much flat ground, and the bonus of amenities like the kayaks and grills our week long stay feel like not enough time rather too much. Melissa was in touch for any question I had and had obviously thought of even the tiniest details. This location is super ideal if like us you were wanting to be close to Harpers Ferry downtown. It’s not isolated, it is just outside main town, but it’s also private.

Returning customers and we love it more there each time we go. The location is great, not to far from NOVA, but far enough. The flat land and river view are ideal for camping. The recent upgrade adding the deck is amazing and makes river viewing so enjoyable. The kitchen/grill area is so convenient. It'll be hard to find another place we love as much as this one...hoping we don't have to. This place is special and already holds great memories for us.

Communication was excellent from beginning to end. We enjoyed the location. large space, dock, and all water toys were available to use. I would recommend to anyone who wants to be on the water.
Highly recommend this property, our group of 10 had an absolute blast! Melissa is a great host with quick responses, helpful advice and just overall great service. We had 4 campers and Melissa was very accommodating with getting all of our needs met. River access couldn’t be beat, it was great having the stairs to get in and out and the teenage boys loved fishing from the canoe. We were a bit worried getting some of the bigger campers (27, 29 and 35 foot) down the narrow steep roads so she did give good advice about navigating there. I will say it was helpful having four wheel drive getting up the hill as a few of our friends with the bigger campers had some spots they were slipping as the roads were wet. If your camper rides low to the ground, you will scrape the road in a few spots so just be mindful and go slow. Our 12 foot camper did perfectly. Shower was really cute and had good hot water and nice lighting. The water pressure is a bit on the weaker side but honestly we were just thrilled to have a hot shower so we couldn’t complain. Keep in mind it is an outdoor shower so there are bugs and spiders. I had used a broom to clean away some of the spider webs so just bring one with you if that sort of thing bothers you. The deck overlooking the river is beautiful and we loved watching the tubers float by. Firepit is large which was nice to gather around at night, be sure to bring your own wood. We will definitely be back!
We've camped here 3 times now. It's a beautiful spot with an amazing outdoor shower and brand new big deck overlooking the river. Melissa is a great host! Can't wait to go back next year!

This campsite was truly a very special place. The view and the location could not have been better, right on the Shenandoah River. The host was super responsive. The amenities were great, including kayaks, yard games, lots of chairs, an outdoor shower, an outdoor kitchen, fire pits, and wood available for purchase. There was plenty of space for the 13 kids and 4 adults between our family and another who planned this as a fun getaway for our families. Our dog was able to roam free all weekend, which was a real treat for her too. We were hooked up with our RV and our friends brought multiple tents and there was plenty of space and access to electric and water. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful and clean space, plenty of firewood, and a gorgeous view. Easily somewhere i would like to make an annual visit to.
This was my 2nd visit and we lived it there even more this time. It’s a dream site and all the extra touches (like power, water and a clean porta potty, make it glamoing for sure.
We loved tent camping on Melissa’s land — Blue site is next to Red site which is another plot, pretty close to one another but we had no neighbors. If you’re looking for a more private experience, I suggest booking both sites. The view of the river was absolutely beautiful. Melissa has an awesome set up with grills, and an outside kitchen which came in super handy. She has plenty of kayaks, and a great set up for bonfires. She has extra chairs even out there and picnic tables per site. Great Don John, clean. The best part was the outside shower!! Definitely recommend her land, she was super helpful prior to the trip and during. She also in future will be renting an RV & even has a cabin for rent now which we def plan to come back soon. It’s very local to stores, breweries etc if you’d want to leave site for a bit to grab things. Our friends had such a great time and can’t wait for our next trip here!!

This is our second time camping here and we plan on making it an annual thing. Melissa provided clear instructions for a everything so there were no questions to ask. We were able to tube down to River and Trail Outfitters right from our front yard to take the shuttle to the top of the river! We also loved hanging out around the campfire overlooking the river in the evening. Oh, and the new outdoor shower is awesome! Highly recommend!

This was a lovely introduction to river camping for me. As it was my first time exploring a river, I felt safe and capable with everything I needed. Melissa had ample tubes, kayaks, kayak anchors, life vests and an air pump for the tubes as well. She was very communicative and patient with all of my questions. Me and my partner enjoyed making and eating our meals with the ease of a sink and gas grill. Floating around during the day and gathering around the fire pit at night. The outdoor shower also felt private and was a fun experience. We would definitely like to come to this site again. For more privacy I recommend booking both sites, but we managed just fine with our friendly neighbors.

My first stay at a HipCamp site. The host was very helpful and quick to respond. She made sure I had everything I needed in advance. Beautiful, quiet spot on the river. The outdoor shower coming out of a massive tree trunk was very cool. It was a mid week stay and I had it all to myself.

We had such a great time on Melissa’s property. Super private river front site big enough for our 33ft 5th wheel. Water and electric. No sewer but the outdoor shower and kitchen helped us conserve our tank. Outdoor shower was beautiful! Close to town. The road to the site was a teeny bit dicey (steep and windy) but we managed fine. Would love to stay on her property again

This spot was fantastic! My friends and I rented both sites for the weekend. We loved being able to enjoy the fall foliage from such a beautiful location. We paddled by on the river, took full advantage of the fire pit and enjoyed sunsets on the floating dock. We will definitely be coming back!
