Welcome to Momma Tried RV & Camping Tucked away in the scenic mountains of Cabins, West Virginia, Momma Tried RV & Camping offers a welcoming escape for campers year-round. Whether you roll in with your RV, set up a tent, or bring your camper, you’ll find a laid-back spot to relax and take in the surrounding trails, rivers, and breath taking mountain views. Set up your items in one of our pull-thru RV sites with full hookup, or roll out your tent by the river. Every site comes with a picnic table and fire ring, perfect for cooking and relaxing in the outdoors. From easy river access to a basketball court, we’re expanding our features to make your stay more comfortable, with a bathhouse and laundry room coming soon. Set on ten acres in the heart of West Virginia’s stunning wilderness, our campground offers the perfect getaway for outdoor enthusiasts. Located in Grant County, we offer over 20 RV and campsites with riverfront access.

We just had our first RV park experience at Momma Tried, and wow—what a great start! Frank, the host, went above and beyond from the moment we arrived. He greeted us personally, gave us the lay of the land, and even lent us a 30-to-50 amp plug when we realized we didn’t have one. That kind of hospitality is rare! The sites are wide, gravel, and level with easy access to the river. Our pup loved that the park is pet-friendly—he was in heaven running around the open spaces. When we weren’t relaxing at our site, Frank surprised us with firewood for a campfire, which was such a thoughtful touch. We originally picked a site that wasn’t quite what we had in mind, but Frank was incredibly accommodating and helped us switch to one that was perfect for us. He was also upfront about the park’s growing pains and shared his exciting plans for the future. As longtime tent campers, this was our very first RV park stay—and it couldn’t have been better. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks again, Frank, for such a memorable time!
