Get ready to unwind on our historical farm that feels a world away but is just a 10-minute drive to downtown! Our cozy Bell Tent glamping site is perched to take full advantage of breathtaking sunsets and moonrises, rolling fields, and wildlife, giving you a front-row seat to nature’s show. A 2-minute drive (or 15 min walk) up the road, you’ll find hiking trails for all skill levels. The same distance down the road is our favorite winery offering tastings and a delightful ambiance for an evening out. They often have live music and food, but they welcome you to bring a charcuterie board of your own. Upon arrival, you’ll see a sign to pull in to our temporary parking beside the upper garden. A short (250 ft) walk to the site and you can settle in your camp. The site is equipped with a basic outdoor kitchen with a potable sink (fed directly from our healthy well), propane camp stove and basic utensils. We ask that you keep food put away in coolers or plastic container to avoid attracting pests. The outhouse is just 35 feet from the site. Our site is designed with eco-friendliness in mind and the outhouse is equipped with a basic composting toilet. Please use wood shavings after each toilet use and dispose of all non compostable items in the provided garbage can on deck. In the tent, you’ll find a luxurious and firm queen size bed and compact tables for storing your items. We provide a power bank of electricity for those that need a c-pap (tested and true), or charging devices. Stay warm all night with our propane heater, down comforter and optional heated blanket. Up for exploring? Just stick to the mowed pathways and enjoy the different settings. A hammock waits in the shade of the cherry plum tree at the bottom of the property. The old homestead site is a nice loop and easy/moderate hike perfect for kids to explore. Guests are welcome to forage fresh berries, herbs, veggies and eggs for their meals during their stay - say hello to our friendly flock of chickens and grab some eggs, just try your best not to let the girls out (It happens). Whether you’re here for a quiet retreat, an outdoor adventure, or just a quick getaway to soak in the country vibes so close to town, we’re excited to help you make the most of your stay!Perched atop Glenrose Farm, our “Belle” tent looks out over 40+ acres of farm fields. Inside, you’ll find a queen-size bed with down comforter, extra blankets, and a “fireplace” heater. There's room for a single air mattress or two sleeping bags- perfect for small families or groups. On the deck, the outdoor kitchen has everything you need for food prep. Table, chairs and loveseat for seating options — please fold the umbrella down when not in use as it gets breezy. The awning provides cover during the wet months and shade on hot summer afternoons. Wood is stocked for the chiminea. When the heat rises, a small stock tank pool sits in front of the farmhouse overlooking the hillside — perfect for a cold plunge or letting the kids splash around. The outhouse with composting toilet is a very short walk from the tent and has a gravity shower during summer months. A power strip handles any electrical needs, and lanterns are provided for evening ambiance. At night, you’ll drift off to owls, songbirds, and the chorus of coyotes. City sounds are distant — an occasional train whistle, Friday night fireworks over the stadium during home games. The chickens quiet down at dusk and clucks start late morning. Earplugs and eye masks are well stocked. Weekday Guests: A new home is being built approximately 750 feet from the site, and construction activity can begin as early as 7am on weekdays. To help make your mornings a little sweeter, we're happy to deliver coffee and breakfast to the tent — just let us know when you book and we'll have it ready for you. As a working flower and forage farm, Belle is surrounded by blooms and edibles through 3 seasons. Spring arrives with daffodils and fritillaria. Early summer brings over 50 peonies, hundreds of foxtail lilies, and serviceberries. By mid and late summer, sunflowers and larkspur abound, with raspberries and currants ripe for picking. Enjoy grazing through the gardens and coop — foraging your own meal additions is one of the quiet joys of staying here. Please close gates behind you; deer are plentiful and not shy about helping themselves. This is glamping at its most grounded — real farm life, real land, and just enough comfort to make you never want to leave.
