Discover peaceful seclusion on this 16-acre primitive campsite, perched atop a hill with stunning eastern views. Greet each morning with a breathtaking sunrise and soak in the quiet beauty of nature all around you. Located just yards from the Shenandoah National Park border, this spot offers a true backcountry feel with the convenience of being only 30 minutes by car from the park’s main entrance. It’s perfect for hikers and nature lovers looking to unplug. Cell service is available if needed. Access requires a half-mile uphill hike, adding a sense of adventure and keeping the area serene and private. There is no vehicle access to the campsite, and campers must bring in their own food and water. This is a pack-in, pack-out site with no amenities, ideal for those seeking a raw, off-grid experience. Pets are welcome, but must be kept under control and respectful of wildlife. Campfires are allowed in accordance with local fire regulations. Please check current guidelines before lighting a fire. Primitive campsite with a stunning view of Virginia located in the dogwood valley of Shenandoah. Conveniently located 30 minutes from the Shenandoah National Park entrance, this campsite is perfect for those in search of a private place to sleep under the stars and wake up to a sweeping view of the eastern Virginia landscape. This quaint campsite features a flat patch of soil to pitch your tent, a stone fire pit, and a trees to hang your hammock. The campsite is only accessible by an approximately 30-minute uphill hike and is a totally primitive campsite (no running water, electricity, or facilities).

Located next to the boundary of Shenandoah National Park, this rustic cabin offers guests a chance to disconnect and immerse themselves in nature. This one-room cabin features a sleeping area with two twin sized cots, a closet, a kitchen/ dining area, and a loft for additional guests. Outside, guests can take in the surrounding wooded area around while seated around the cozy fire pit. While there is no running water, electricity, or sewage, modifications have been made for comfort of our guests. There is an outhouse conveniently located next to the cabin, a gravity sink, and a cooler. The bookcase is full of books, board games, and puzzles to keep you entertained during your stay. **Dog pictured is not included in your stay Amenities: 1. Two twin sized cots 2. One full size inflatable mattress and pump 3. Dog bed 4. Closet area 5. Dishes, glasses, mugs, silverware 6. Pots, pans, cooking utensils, and cutting board 7. Towels 8. Sink 9. Cooler 10. Lantern 11. Books, games, and puzzles 12. Fire starter paper pieces and lighter 13. Fire extinguisher (for emergencies only) 14. Outhouse 15. Firewood Rules: 1. Although throw blankets are provided, it is highly recommended for guests to bring their own sleeping bags and pillow cases if they plan on using the pillows provided. 2. Please empty any water accumulated in the Lowe’s bucket from the sink. Waste water can be repurposed to put out a fire or to water the potted Cypress trees. 3. Carry out all waste accumulated during your stay. 4. Wash any dishes used (please thoroughly dry the cast iron pans, they will rust if let wet!). 5. Leave any blankets or rags used in a pile on the floor. 6. The trail is off-limits. Please contact host for any questions.
