Set on 25 acres of stunning pine and cedar trees between Bastrop and Smithville, Texas, Golden Pine offers the perfect mix of nature and modern comfort. With breathtaking sunset views, a cozy yet spacious dome, and peaceful seclusion, this retreat is ideal for a relaxing getaway. Free WiFi and parking are included. The main level features a king-size bed, two sofa chairs, and a dining table with four chairs. A huge open window offers incredible views of the sunset and starlit sky. The loft provides a warm, cozy space with two sofa chairs that open into thick single-size mattresses and a soft foam floor. Additionally, two single-size beds are available upon request for extra guests. The kitchenette includes a microwave, refrigerator, Keurig coffee machine, and a cooktop with pots and pans. It is fully stocked with dining ware, glassware, and utensils for convenience. The dome is equipped with split-unit heating and cooling for year-round comfort, while an air vent at the top improves air circulation. A wood fireplace adds warmth and ambiance, and extra space heaters are available for colder nights. Your bathroom features a marble-top double vanity, a beautiful claw-foot tub, and a self-cleaning bidet toilet, with plush towels provided. The wraparound deck is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. String lights create a warm nighttime ambiance. Relax and recharge in our brand-new wellness zone, featuring a spacious 750-gallon hot tub and invigorating cold plunge. Ideal for athletes, wellness enthusiasts, or anyone seeking deep relaxation, this setup is perfect after a sauna session or a long day. Our hot tub is completely chemical-free, purified instead with Montmorillonite — a natural volcanic clay known for its detoxifying and soothing properties, offering you a clean, gentle, and restorative experience. Glamping w/Hot Tub, Sauna - Yellow

This place was amazing. The hosts are so kind and there is always someone you can speak to either in person or via text/phone should anything come up. We LOVED our stay. It was quiet, peaceful, clean, and BEAUTIFUL. We basically lived in the clean pool and hot tub, which overlooks a beautiful field, of which is next to some longhorns and horses who are turned out some of the day (with none of the farm smell, which I personally wouldn’t even mind if it did but I know some people are more sensitive). The bathrooms were super close to the tent, and nice and clean and easy to access. There is also an outdoor bar area next to the bathrooms which gives you access to a large sink with running water, and a place to do any dishes you might have. The AC was nice and cold in the tent, and it was super roomy, had outlets, and the bed was super comfy in our opinion. Will 10000% be back!!! Thank you Zvi, Shmulie, and Chris!!

I would recommend others stay here for sure. It was a quiet and mostly peaceful experience. The tent was very cool with the A/C and the space felt private for a majority of my stay. My only issue is that there was an event held during my stay that I was not made aware of until we arrived. My intention for my stay was to get away from crowds (I work around a lot of people daily) and noise. I found out once we got there that a community event was being held on the property and there was music playing until 10pm. The guests were respectful and the host was very kind, but I would’ve appreciated a heads up on this due to my intention of personal space and quite I was looking for. Guests would walk past our camp site and use our hammock that was provided. This didn’t really upset me much, but it was not what I was looking for. There area is really nice and overall it wasn’t a bad stay. But I would’ve appreciated the chance to cancel my reservation and book elsewhere had I known about the event. Nothing in the booking process mentioned this is an event hosting location, therefore I was under the impression it was going to be a more private experience. I do recommend others stay here for sure. The area was kept very clean and preserved. Other sites are out of sight at your tent or lodging. Just maybe call ahead and see if there are any events planned during your stay.

We had a wonderful stay in one of the glamping tents. It was the perfect combination of being close to nature while still enjoying the comforts of a cozy vacation. The tent was spacious, clean, and well furnished, making it feel much more comfortable than traditional camping. The peaceful surroundings created a relaxing atmosphere. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities provided made the experience feel special without taking away from the outdoor setting. The retreat itself was well-maintained and offered a great escape from everyday life. Whether relaxing outside the tent. The entire experience felt rejuvenating. The guy who was on site was named tres and he was excellent and very kind! I would highly recommend the glamping option to anyone! It was a memorable and relaxing getaway, and I would happily return.

Guys! This place was incredible. It was so peaceful. It was impeccably clean. It was absolutely beautiful and I felt like I was in a fairy tale land. There was the sauna and hot tub that were such a treat. The views are so pretty and there’s so much nature. There is a good amount of space and privacy between spots. We stayed in the “yellow” yurt. There was electricity, air conditioning, a water hose, and a table and chairs as well as lighting and a Keurig with supplied coffee pods and creamer. The couch bed was so comfy and had a pullout. The queen was comfortable as well. The bathrooms were cute and had a nice shower and space to clean up. We were supplied with towels and washcloths. I loved the boardwalk that went from our place to the bathrooms. I am absolutely coming back to this place and bringing my kids next time. They will love it! Bastrop is only 10 min away and there is anything you could need there regarding groceries/coffee/supplies.

A Unique Getaway From The City

Luxury Dome Retreat Hot Tub & Sauna

This was our first time using HipCamp, and what an incredible experience! Zvi and Thunder (the resident longhorn on site) were extremely responsive hosts and made sure we had everything that we needed for the duration of our stay. The geodesic dome was beautifully decorated with a sophisticated touch, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable. The location was private and peaceful—a perfect getaway from the city. We loved how secluded it felt despite being a short 20 minute drive from Bastrop. One of our favorite parts was waking up to a beautiful sunrise, with the option to open the curtains and let the morning light pour in. At night, the views of the sky were absolutely stunning—perfect for stargazing and soaking in the beauty of the quiet countryside. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind and recharge.
