CLOSEST PROPERTY TO ENCHANTED ROCK - 18 mins away, 38 mins from Fredericksburg,  25 mins from Kingsland, and 5 mins from Llano, Texas.  Flat, tree surrounded sites with campfire rings. Or stay up top on the granite outcropping with a a hillside fire ring and city views (appropriate vehicle required). Rustic natural landscape with granite outcroppings, seasonal wildflowers and year round wildlife siting's - deer, wild pigs, raccoons, dove, scorpions, ants and various varieties of snakes. (YES RATTLERS and COPPERHEADS - April - November).  With 10 potential sites to choose from, campers select preferred camping spot desire based on availability. Each campsite is unique. Hilltop location requires 4x4 transportation. For all campsites, there are rocks and brush located thru out the property, caution required driving low clearance vehicles. We are not responsible for car or tire damage - so proceed with caution and stay on designated paths.  GREAT FOR A VARIETY OF LARGE PARTIES - inquire with the host. Absolutely NO HUNTING ALLOWED. We feed the deer. And the Longhorns! If you'd like to feed them too we can leave a bag of deer corn or cow cubes and you can feed them as well. Hand feeding the Longhorns is a true experience. The property is been completely fenced. Please close and secure gate after entering and exiting with the lock provided.  Code provided before arrival. There is a manual gate and a automatic gate you will be given the code for both. REQUIRES WAIVER: We have a waiver a renters, tenants and guest are required to sign prior to their visit. You'll be staying amongst the deer in this tucked away spot. Its located away from it all on a field below the granite outcropping. This campsite has the most privacy. Higher clearance vehicles or larger tires recommend. Or you can hike in your supplies about 100 feet from the road. Campsite has a solar light and is just below granite outcropping with solar lights. The deer feeder near by goes off every morning at dawn and every evening at dusk. Don't be alarmed.

Its the first camping spot we identified and still one of our favorites. Surrounded by trees and a gentle slope to a seasonal creek. Solar lights provided. Located near the water faucet and the power outlet (request per night usage under extras section). Great for all sizes of trail trailers. We have just put down a granite RV pad to the left of the electric and water supply and a pad for a guest house to the right of the electricity and water. Please do not put holes in the pads or in the crushed granite roads. Requires a 50 ft water hose and a 50 ft 110w extension cord or 30amp electric cord.

If you are looking for a tad bit more adventure and rugged terrain - this is your spot. The campsite also is not the flattest there is a slight down hill slope and the campfire ring also has a slope around it. You can park a vehicle on the rad and sleep in your car. It probably will have a slight slant to it as well. Its up on top of the granite outcropping with daytime views of the surrounding hill tops and mountains and night times views of the Llano skyline, feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere. And it requires a lift and 4WD, so Jeepers recommended.

This is where you want to be if you want RV hook-ups. A spacious partially tree surrounded spot with great views of deer feeding at the deer feeder at dusk and dawn. Bring your red flash lights so you won's spook the deer with regular flash lights. Request a bag of corn to spread around your campsite and they'll come up really close into your campsite.

A cleared area (bigger than a fenced tennis court) with lots of room to have multiple campsites. More space for kids to move around with less concern for interaction with cactus. Open skies above. Surrounded by trees. Campfire ring. Need a higher clearance vehicle. Suggest you walk the trail to this open area before you take your vehicle down path. But once you get to the open space its has a small grade but no big rocks.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Communication was great from the beginning and they were super hospitable to us during our stay here. We only got to spend a limited time here since we were there to visit inks lake and enchanted rock during the day. It was just a short drive to both and very convenient. Had so much fun trying to get pictures with the longhorns too. Hopefully we can come back and visit again.

We loved camping out on this Beautiful Camping site! The night sky's and night city view are absolutely Amazing and the views during the day are breathtaking! Their cows are so cute and add that little texas feel to the whole stay, we love how maintained the property was and the campsite was cleared and clean! Absolutely Recommend to anyone!

Michelle and her husband were fabulous hosts. They love sharing their beautiful land and hanging out with their three longhorns was entertaining. We felt welcomed, and encouraged to explore. We walked around their property twice a day enjoying the views and peacefulness. We took our hammocks and simply enjoyed “hanging” out and reading. We enjoyed the photo ops and visiting the surrounding area. Their place was immaculate and they are constantly doing more.

YESSS YESSS YESSS!! The hilltop site was fantastic with a view of the hill country and lovely privacy. This mini enchanted rock was a great place to see Longhorns (hook em) and listen to beautiful birds and insects. Chad and Michelle felt like family!

We loved our time at BCBC Ranch! The land is quintessential Texas scenery. You're surrounded by cacti, longhorns, granite outcroppings, wildflowers and live oaks. We loved exploring Llano and the surrounding areas by way of the beautiful winding hill country roads. It was a camping trip we will not soon forget!! The hosts were very helpful. Highly recommend!

Had a great one-night stay at Rustic Retreat. Chad and Michelle answered any and all questions! They were proactive in giving assistance leading up to my reservation, as well as kept the campsite and surrounding area well maintained. Will come back for another camping trip!!

Brown Chicken Brown Cow may be one of the best camping sites in Hill Country. There’s tons of space, zero light or noise pollution, and the resident longhorns are adorable. Owners were incredibly accommodating and kind. 10/10 recommend this campsite to anyone looking to reconnect with nature for a few days!

Michelle and Chad are awesome folks that host an amazing property for camping. The property is beautiful, clean, and quiet. Stars at night are impressive to say the least and the views around the property are beautiful. Chad and Michelle are extremely friendly and very welcoming, Chad even met us at the front gate after we arrived an hour and a half later than planned, and showed us to our site and gave us the rundown on the property. My kids absolutely loved seeing the Longhorns in the morning and helping Chad feed them. We will absolutely be back for another stay next time we are in the area, and I highly recommend this property! Thank you Chad and Michelle for your hospitality!

We really loved this campsite. The directions were clear and easy to follow, and even included a Dora the explorer map to the (very clean and stocked) Porta John. The stars were stunning. We really did feel like we were out in the middle of nowhere, but with the convenience of a nearby grocery store and only a short drive from Enchanted rock. We will definitely be back!

Had an absolute splendid time at Brown Chicken Brown Cow! The site was clean and well kept as was the entire property. Quick access to Llano and Enchanted Rock. Fun and peaceful to walk around the property, too! I will be heading back!

This was our second time visiting BCBC and we had an even better experience than the first time. The hilltop spot was the best site I have been to in a very long time and having the longhorns visit us at night AND take a nap next to us was a truly remarkable experience.

I spent 2 days at BCBS and 10/10 I'll go back again. The spots are all really well placed and the hosts are quite lovely. The longhorns came to visit one morning, which was a lot of fun. Thank you.

A rooftop tent owners paradise

First and foremost, I wanted to say that this was hands down my best camping experience. EVER! My girlfriend and I tested my new rooftop top tent setup for my truck here and we were not disappointed. Nice and level terrain for our setup, the cleanest potta-john I have ever seen, and beautiful, secluded Texas hill country terrain (the fall sunset was *chefs kiss*). Getting to meet and hand feed all four of the Longhorns was definitely the best part of this trip. To be honest with you, this is going to be a hard camping experience to top. Why stay at a fully booked state park when you have a place as empty and quiet as this? Thank you Michelle for accommodating us with everything we needed during our trip. We definitely will be staying here again and I could not recommend enough!

We loved Brown Chicken Brown Cow! The land is very well kept and the campsite was great. The size and privacy were unbeatable. There are great views for both sunrise and sunset and on a clear night, the star gazing is breathtaking. Michelle was a great host and helped us with anything we needed. We will definitely be back. Fun place for a family or a few!

Sunsets and Longhorns for the win.

Impromptu one night camping trip on my way back Austin. Reached out to the hosts Saturday morning, they were super responsive and accommodating. The site has great views of the hill country and the town. I was looking for some solitude that night and it was perfect. Sunset, star gazing and sunrise were just what I was looking for. I will definitely be back for a more extended stay.

My family had a wonderful time at Tucked Away. The directions were spot on and we easily found our site. We have traditionally stayed at state parks, so this was refreshing to have such a quiet and secluded spot. We have 3 very active kids and they had a blast exploring the area while we set up our tent! The hosts were so sweet to give us tips on local wildlife and best spots to get great views. There are 4 calm and majestic longhorns on property. Our kids had an amazing time watching them roam the property and feed! We loved the location with easy access to Enchanted Rock and Fredricksberg. Forgot something? No worries, Llano is a 6 min drive down the road! We absolutely loved this site and will be back!

The ranch was what we expected. It had 4 longhorns that were very cute. We got scared first but then we were able to pet them with the owner’s help. At night you can see the stars! Owner very friendly . He even gave us a raid around the ranch on his ATV. Very cool! We recommend it.

Brown Chicken Brown Cow was amazing!!! (Btw, the name makes me laugh so hard!). We stayed in our camper van in "favorite spot" and the night sky was absolutely amazing! Even saw the Milky Way! The property is just beautiful and a perfect spot to stay at if you are visiting Enchanted Rock! Cannot say enough good things about the host and the property! We will be back!!!!!
