Directions were very easy to follow and set up of campsites was logical and well spaced apart. We were the only ones there that night. Stayed at site 4. The toilet was a portable unit. Very clean. We got surprised that the water was turned off for the season but our host brought us water from his place which was plentiful. We recommend!

Beautiful little spot!!! The creek behind camp was awesome, very peaceful and the water was super clear. Lots of wildlife including rabbits, birds, and deer wandered through. Also fireflies!
You can just barely hear the freeway from camp but I was able to ignore the sounds pretty easily. Besides that the spot was very quiet and a great location. Would stay here again!

Beautiful site, beautiful views, clean and well care for. Stayed in site #4 with a 16 ft trailer, it was perfect. Very private and quiet. Creek is sparkling clean and cool. Herb is a super friendly host. Highly recommend.

Site 3 Redwater Revival Campground
It was such a wonderful experience!! It felt very private and secluded even though we were only about 10mins from the interstate. You could hear the interstate a little, but was very quiet! It was a beautiful area and the creek was fun to play/swim in. Our dogs had a blast too! We were very lucky to have the whole place to ourselves. Definitely would come back to this site!

We had a great time here, beautiful property bordered by a crystal clear stream. During the week we spent there, we were the only guests. Great views of the nearby buttes, lots to explore nearby. Herb was a great host, checking in on us occasionally to make sure we survived all the rain. He suggested some nearby sights to visit, and even put some extra gravel on the access road so we wouldn’t get stuck.
The campsites are situated along a wide strip of land along the stream. Sites 1, 2, 3 are closer together, 4 is the most private. There is a porta-potty near the first 3 sites, and just a short walk from site 4.
Birds and waterfowl are everywhere, and are your morning alarm clock. Geese, ducks, wild turkey, and deer may pass by for a visit.
Beautiful area, beautiful property, gracious host. We plan on visiting again with our family, next time.

Site 4 - Redwater Revival Campground
We were lucky enough to spend two amazing nights at Red Water Revival! We LOVED IT! The land is gorgeous and peaceful (we were the only ones there!). So much wildlife just enjoying the natural environment! One of the best hipcamps we’ve stayed at! This is exactly the kind of place we like to camp at! Hope we can return one day. Herb provided water and firewood. Much appreciated.

Site 1 - Redwater Revival Campground
Beautiful site on a clear creek with deer and turkeys to watch at dusk and dawn. There is a clean porta-potty at the site and a nice picnic table by the creek. Very private and safe. Herb is very attentive and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There was a storm the night I was there and he was very concerned about me. Planning to come back here next year!

Beautiful flat site right by the water. Big enough for our truck with roof top tent and awning to keep us out of the weather. The host’s written directions were also easy to follow for a first timer.

We really enjoyed our stay on Herb’s land. There wasn’t anyone else staying there so we had complete privacy. Site 4 doesn’t have any shade and it happened to be almost 100 degrees one day but thankfully we have a generator for our camper! We loved the views, privacy and listening to the neighboring creek. We thought the creek might be a little more accessible. There was a small path down to the creek closer to site 1 but difficult for our older dog and me who is hesitant to just jump in!
If you have a camper and plan on filling water, verify with Herb that the water is turned on before arrival. He helped us troubleshoot and brought a 5-gallon water jug with cold fresh water shortly after our arrival.
We loved to convenience of being near a small town and short drive to Spearfish but feeling like we were a world away from it all!

I loved the view and the amount of grass here, it made for a great campsite. Herb was very nice and welcoming. If I pass through Wyoming again I will absolutely stay here.

Loved the tent camping here! We arrived pretty late but with the directions that were provided, we were easily able to get here. It was very quiet and the sites are a good distance from each other so the privacy was nice. The morning views were stunning! Would recommend !

I had a great time escaping my day-to-day out here! Herb was very helpful with any questions I had, and it was a very relaxing and serene area, I will definitely be going back!! There is a gas station/convenience store nearby that sells essentials and fishing licenses.

I loved camping on Herb's beautiful land! It was nicely maintained, with views that mesmerize you! Herb was a perfect host, coming by to make sure everything was to our liking. We waded in the creek, cooked chili over the campfire and made memories that will last!

A great camping spot along the water! We had site #2 and setup the tent under the cottonwood tree. Herb was responsive and friendly.

This was by far our favorite site of the trip! We stayed in a few campgrounds prior to Herb’s place and would have loved staying here longer. We really like our privacy and being away from other campers if possible when we camp, mostly because we have dogs and just like the sound of nature as opposed to people lol. Herb’s land didn’t disappoint! We were lucky enough to be the only campers that night and got to listen to the creek, Blue Herons, and many other birds in the area. We even got to see some deer run across the red rock in the distance. Absolutely beautiful site and Herb does an amazing job of keeping the place well kept. It was very clear he enjoys it and wants to share it with others who will enjoy it just as much. Herb checked on us the day we were supposed to arrive and checked in to make sure we had settled in easily and comfortably. We explored the other spots and found Site 4 to be our favorite as you get the best view of the red rocks and the most privacy from the other sites. Would highly recommend staying here just for the peacefulness of the land. Will definitely stay again if we’re ever back in the area!

Perfect last night of a long road trip from Arizona. Lush green, trickling stream, singing birds, sunrise/sunset, and stars in a dark sky. My pup loved playing off leash. Steakhouse in nearby town, but I didn’t want to leave the property. Great host.

Herb was a great host. Very communicative over text, and even drove down to check on us. Not great service so he let us know of a possible hail storm headed our way, even pointed us to a local gas station with cover. We enjoyed what short time we spent in the great corner of his property, and ended up parking nearer to the entrance on more-solid ground. Herb even called the next day to make sure we made it out alright. Awesome stay!

This spot was so beautiful! Tucked away in the most scenic, peaceful little grove, you find yourself sleeping under the milky way and waking up to bright red rock mountains. I parked in spot #2 and got to listen to the little creek all night long. No showers or running water so it is a true camping experience but well worth it if you are passing by or in the area!

Based on the dirt road to the location, lack of adequate signage, uneven campsite surface and very poor visibility of actual sites after dark, we decided not to stay and immediately moved on.
