Highland Meadows Resort sits on 12.5 acres atop a private mesa in Hot Springs, South Dakota. The resort features four private cabins, two glamping tipis, and an earth home on the upper mesa — and a campground on the lower mesa. Tipis are equipped with a king-size bed, sleeper sofa, and basic kitchenette. There's a shared wood fire pit, laundry facilities, horseshoe pit, and a private bath w/ shower for each tipi. Tipis also come with a pack and play for one extra infant/toddler. Kitchenettes come with a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and some basic place settings. The campground has several tent and RV sites, each with their own fire pit, picnic table, and power. The campground has a common area for larger gatherings and flush toilets with sinks. There are several water spigots in the campground as well: two near the restrooms and one at each RV site. Highland Meadows Resort is located near The Mammoth Site, Wind Cave, Cold Brook Reservoir, and local hot springs. It's a short drive from Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore.

A short drive from The Mammoth Site, Wind Cave, Mount Rushmore, and Custer State Park, and local hot springs. Relax out back in a private hammock, grill up some burgers on your private grill, or sit back and enjoy an evening fire. This tipi in comes with a gas fire pit and sits at the southern end of the Black Hills. This tipi has a private bathroom w/ shower and a bbq grill. Access to a shared wood fire pit and shared laundry facilities. A pack and play is available for one additional infant/toddler. This tipi has a very basic kitchenette w/ microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay and Robyn and her husband were wonderful hosts!! The tipi was so warm and cozy and the bed was amazing, so comfortable!! It was great having our own bathroom!! The instructions were detailed and easy to follow once we arrived. We would recommend staying here!!

A Special Place
Buffalo Tipi Glamping
This tipi was an amazing experience. Spent 4 days using this as our hub to explore the Black Hills, but it was so refreshing returning here each evening. The view is beautiful. Our hosts did a great job of making sure everything we needed was available, and gave great insights on what to do. Plus it’s a short drive/walk into Hot Springs. Fun to explore!

What a great experience. It’s a beautiful secluded property with added benefits for guests. We felt safe in our tipi and the hosts were very communicative. The property is very well maintained and clean! Highly Recommend this property!! Will hopefully be back!

This was a great experience. Everythingwas available We had a great time. All was available as described. The tipi was very clean and dry. We had taken the tipi which wa the furthest away, so we didn’t have WiFi at our tipi but WiFi was available at the grill and tables. We really appreciated the private really nice bathroom and the responsiveness of the manager, he replied instantly on all our messages This

First time staying in a Teepee, far exceeded our expectations! The land was beautiful and peaceful. The instructions and directions were clear and easy to follow. Highly recommend this experience for everyone, can’t wait to visit again!
