Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc Then we have the old school principals residence aka “The Bush Holiday House“. It is fully self-contained and all linen is provided. Just BYO food & drinks. We offer this for one night stays and longer. Jimna is a tiny town immersed in the Australian bush; with nearby gorges, ravines, creeks and waterfalls - some wild & spectacular places to see. What better place to base yourself and explore our part of the Conondale National Park, Jimna State Forest... be it on foot, horseback, motorcycle, 4x4 or mountain bike!! Holiday/Peak Season rates may vary.

Wonderful flat sites. Lots of kids when we went so they all congrated in the middle and played together. Plenty to do and Peter was a great help with everything. Great maintained facilities.

Picturesque camping spot
I loved that it was a very open space and a picturesque area. Pete was really friendly and happy to help out if needed 😊. We also got to take our dog 🐕. Lots of room on the oval for kids to play.

I would highly recommend camping at jimna base camp. Pete was very informative friendly all ways happy to help, the amenities were in great tidy condition. Very family friendly where your children are bound to make friends with the other kids, plenty of games for the kids to play also. Will be going back again cheers Arpi

Camping with little kids.
It was a great campt site, a decommissioned school ground, had a playground for my kids to enjoy, Pete kept the centre of the oval free for the kids to run around and have fun being kids, we made new friends over the Easter weekend, the site is very dog friendly & Pete makes a wicked coffee, has ice cream there for everyone to purchase & enjoy. The site toilets & shower were well kept & the grounds well looked after, we loved having a fire pit supplied too, (one less thing to pack) We will definitely be going back there again, there are plenty of places around to explore for the day.

Family camping with a dog
Great spot with everything you could need- hot hot showers, clean toilets, bbqs, tennis court, sandpit, playground, huge undercover areas, ice, coffee, wood & ice creams for sale. Close to creek and community pub (only open Thursday nights). Pete is a brilliant host, friendly, helpful and good for a chat about the area. Loved our stay with young children and a dog. Plenty of space on the oval for the kids to run around. Will definitely be back.

Camping here was great! Pete is an awesome host, who makes a great coffee! The facilities were flawless and we enjoyed a beautifully clean campsite, that I can't wait to revisit.

Our stay was great! I had organised a surprise bday get together for hubby, and Pete was very helpful with everything. Amenities were clean, plenty of activities for the kids and an awesome place to stay! Highly recommend this camp ground 👍

Great getaway
Our stay here was great! Pete had everything you needed for a lovely getaway. The toilets and facilities were in good condition (hot water for showers too which was great!), and loads of area to play sports/games (including a basketball and tennis court). Will definitely be coming back.

A place to get away
We booked a weekend away at Jimna base camp to relax and get away from Brisbane. It was an absolute treat. It was quiet and comfortable with everything we needed for the weekend away in our van. Pete had snacks, ice cream and coffee, was polite and very accommodating. Fire pits were provided. Showers were hot. We would recommend this place for anyone that needs a weekend away.

Definitely recommend
Excellent place for a getaway close to Brisbane. Its a quiet place away from nearest town Kilcoy. There is telstra signal reception Neat and clean toilets . Amenities like Convenience store, basket ball court, tennis court are all good. Very Friendly staff.

Great facilities beautiful peaceful and quiet. The Jimna sports club on Thursday night was excellent. Pete the host is really accommodating and helpful and his coffee van is fantastic

Pete was an awesome host & very accommodating. The camp is on the old Jimna school oval. Fire pits provided were awesome. Nice quiet place to camp and great for large groups. Lots of bike tracks for all ages. Great base to Conondale State Forest to Little Yabba Creek, Booloomba Creek & Kenilworth.
