Our camp lot sits on 2 acres of land across the road from Elk Visitor’s Center in Benezette PA. This is the heart of elk country. We often have elk and many other kinds of wildlife roaming through our property and even bedding down. Winslow Hill Rd is well known for being the best road to travel to see elk and our property borders this road. You can access this township road from our property by any licensed and insured motorized vehicle such as an ATV, side-by-side UTV, motorcycle, etc. Our camp site can accommodate any size camper/RV made. We have 50 amp electric service, sewer (portable holding tank/tote needed to dump onsite; more than welcome to use ours), and water (filtered and water softened). There is a campfire ring and picnic table on-site. There are trees around the campsite but not too close to where you have to worry about hitting a tree when parking your camper/RV. There are a lot of trails and even township roads where you can ride your off road vehicles. There are a lot of hiking trails and even horseback riding trails. Horses and animals are allowed but any hoofed animal would have to remain trailered when not riding. There is also a trash receptacle on-site. Bring your bicycles because there is a lot of room for riding that is not on the main road. Please note that there is one other camper and one tiny home/cabin on this 2 acres of land. If you love the outdoors then this is where you will want to be. Some of the biggest elk in the country come through our property.

      Amazing location, easy set up and parking, outstanding host. Great elk bugling all around us at night. Truly majestic. Right around the corner from the elk viewing center. Amazing views and absolutely worth every cent. We’ll be coming back multiple times. If you want an experience, you’ll stay here. We’ll be talking about this place for awhile. ATV trails and hiking trails nearby. 10/10

      Our stay was very nice. Fairly private with lots of area for kids. The views around the area were beautiful. The site had everything we needed to accommodate our 30ft travel trailer.

      The site was a perfect base for our yearly trek to Elk Country. We loved being in the heart of the area with electric water seeer and WI-FI. Nice neighbors and bugling elk all night. Easy access and a place to unload our 4 wheelers. Host was easy to communicate with throughout.

      We met with Jerris at the property. Everything went well. Our site had electric and accommodated our 25' RV with no problems whatsoever. We were also able to empty our black tank there, but we did not do so. There was a picnic table and fire ring available for our use. We did provide our own firewood. We visited Benezette because it was the Elk rutting season and we were only about 1/4 mile from the visitor's center, which was very convenient. We also visited other places in the area. We enjoyed our stay.

      Elk Country Campsite
      The site itself started as a tent site to an RV, so it lacked some of the amenities originally listed for a camp site, but if you have an RV you’ll still have an awesome experience. Great location to be since it’s only down the road from the visitors center for elk view and 5-10 minutes to other viewing areas. You will hear elk bugles consistently throughout the night, which should get you excited to go out the next morning. There’s plenty of trails for hiking, other wildlife areas, and state parks nearby for you to explore within an hour of the site. Possibilities are endless staying in Benezette!
