Escape to a raw land sanctuary where the high desert meets the sky. Located in the shadow of the Fremont-Winema National Forest, this Nezfern lot offers 360-degree vistas, world-class bird watching, and unparalleled access to Southern Oregon's premier waterways. A Wildlife Haven This property is situated in a vital corridor for Oregon’s native species. From your campsite, keep your binoculars ready for: Birds of Prey: Look up to see Bald and Golden Eagles soaring overhead. The area is a major hub for Red-tailed Hawks, Ospreys, and several species of Owls that hunt the sagebrush at dusk. High Desert Locals: It is common to see Mule Deer and the iconic Pronghorn Antelope—the fastest land animal in North America—moving across the plains. The Soundtrack of the West: Listen for the evening calls of Coyotes echoing across the basin under a canopy of stars. Angler’s & Adventurer’s Basecamp If you’re here for the water or the woods, you couldn't be in a better spot: World-Class Fishing: You are minutes away from the Sprague and Williamson Rivers, home to legendary Redband Trout and trophy-sized Rainbows. Public Land Access: Bordering vast stretches of the Fremont-Winema National Forest, you have millions of acres of hiking, foraging, and off-road exploration right at your fingertips. Crater Lake Gateway: Just a 50-minute drive to Oregon’s only National Park, making this the perfect quiet alternative to crowded park campgrounds. The "Raw Land" Experience This is a primitive, off-grid site for self-sufficient adventurers. Access: Mostly flat and accessible for vans, truck campers, and SUVs. Amenities: None. No water, no power, no trash—just pure, untouched Oregon beauty. Leave No Trace is our golden rule. Stargazing: With zero light pollution and high elevation, the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye most nights. House Rules for Your Protection Fire Safety: No open campfires during seasonal bans. Propane stoves only when permitted. Wildlife Respect: Do not feed or approach the wildlife. Store all food in locked vehicles. Pack It Out: All trash must be removed by the guest. Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM (to preserve the silence of the desert for everyone).

RV/tent site · Sleeps 4 · Vehicles under 25 ft

You’ll have ample room to set up a basecamp, whether you are in a camper van, a rooftop tent, or a traditional ground setup. The property is conveniently located with straightforward access from the road. This makes it an ideal landing spot for those exploring the nearby Fremont-Winema National Forest or traveling through the Sprague River area. You are perfectly positioned for: Bird Watching: The trees on and around the lot are frequent perches for hawks and eagles. Star Observation: The high-desert elevation and lack of city lights make for incredible night sky views. Hiking/Exploring: Use this as your quiet basecamp for day trips to Crater Lake or fishing expeditions on the Williamson River. Amenities & Logistics This is a strictly primitive, off-grid site: Water & Power: No hookups or potable water are available. Guests must bring all necessary supplies. Nezfern Drive

RV/tent site · Sleeps 12 · Vehicles under 25 ft
Space & Privacy This expansive, mostly flat site gives you plenty of room to set up a basecamp that fits your style. Whether you are pitching multiple large tents or parking a high-clearance overland rig, you’ll have at least 1 acre of private high-desert land all to yourself. There are no immediate neighbors in sight, allowing for total immersion in the silence of the Klamath Basin. Access & Parking The site is easily accessed via gravel and dirt roads. While the terrain on the lot is flat and manageable, a high-clearance vehicle is highly recommended due to the rural nature of the area and potential ruts after rain or snow. You can drive directly onto your site for easy loading and unloading. Amenities & Logistics This is a strictly primitive, "Pack-It-In, Pack-It-Out" site: Water/Power: No hookups or potable water are available on-site. Please bring all the water you need for drinking, cooking, and cleaning. Waste: There are no restroom facilities. Guests must be self-contained and are responsible for disposing of all human and greywater waste in accordance with Leave No Trace principles. Trash: No trash service is provided. All garbage must be taken with you when you depart. Activities Access From your campsite, you are ideally positioned for adventure. You can walk directly into the surrounding open landscapes for wildlife viewing and stargazing.
