Generated from real Hipcamper reviews
The campsite provides a mixed experience for visitors attending nearby festivals. While some campers praised the cleanliness and helpfulness of the hosts, others were disappointed by the lack of facilities and services, such as bathrooms and shuttles, which they expected based on the listing. The hosts, Tina and Yonty, were often highlighted for their friendliness and willingness to assist, like offering shuttle services and even helping with car troubles. However, some guests felt that the cost did not match the amenities provided, leading to dissatisfaction.

It was okay
Going to leave an honest review here. Not happy. Will not be returning. Kind to let people overpay to camp here, but that's it. 330 dollars! For two nights! Premium rates! And we had nothing out there that we didn't end up haveing to bring our selfs. We booked, and then we're informed there no bathrooms, and no shuttle to the festival as advertised. Our money for camping was locked in, with 7-10 day return anticipated and no other camping available anywhere anyways and would have missed the festival. We were not told of any water available either, also we didn't ask. They charge by the person, we showed with less people than we booked with, and nothing from them on that. In the chat, we were told they may know someone who could drive us, but asked us what we were willing to pay. Absolutely not comfortable with that. Then the day after we arrived, was told they mitht be able to give us a ride later on in the day, but the convo became about prices again and Uber surge prices. We ended the convo. Kind of railroaded on this deal and we're very unhappy for the cost. First experience with hipcamping and very unimpressed. Not hip, definatly camping at its hardest, and surely not "festival fun". Not sure how to request a refund yet as a new hipcamper, but I will be. It felt like extortion for those costs. Oh, they did offer us to use the "public fire pit".... 👌

Josh, I just want to clarify a few things for future campers and because Hipcamp keeps a record of our conversations I am able to refer back to our messages and accurately reply to your review. You reached out to me 2 days before you wanted to arrive and before I accepted your reservation I explained that we were not hosting campers for that weekend of the festival but that you were more than happy to stay on our property if you needed a safe place to camp last minute. At that time I informed you that it would dry camping. Your response was "the dry camping is not that big of a deal..." Then you asked about ride share options. I said "we are about 3 miles from the fairgrounds and there is Uber and Lyft just not sure how that works during festivals for wait times etc". I offered a friend who might have been free to help and simply asked what you would like to offer her for her time in doing so (as she lives in Bend and it would be a 25min drive for her to get to you). Your response was "I think we should be ok on the ride situation. Sounds like my friends are looking to figure it out when we get there :) We're trying to avoid too many unplanned costs if possible also. We're good to go through with the reservation." At this point I accepted the reservation with you knowing what the camping situation would be. Again, we were not planning to host campers that weekend but willing to make an exception for you since you waited until 2 days before to look for a campsite near the festival. I'm not sure who you spoke to the next day, as it was not myself or my husband. He only came over to say hello and offered to help should need anything during your stay on the property. We do not charge per person, but instead per campsite. You had all 5 acres of our pasture to yourself. You were charged for one campsite for 2 nights at our usual rate. We do not have any control of the Hipcamp fees and that may be what you are referring to when you reference the total amount you were charged and why you felt they were "premium rates". You can see what our nightly rate is when you make the reservation. Shortly after you left you immediately requested a full refund and I was confused as to why because we were completely transparent from the get go and I felt we were in total agreement with the camping situation that we were able to offer you with such short notice. I feel that we got blamed for your lack of preparation and funds and somehow you felt intitled to a free weekend. I fully refunded you that day but CERTAINLY not because I agreed with you. I do not have any control over the timing of when Hipcamp returns the funds or what portion of their fees you would get back from them. You will need to reach out to them for those details.

Wonderfully accommodating host, very clear instructions. Very sweetly helped to find a quiet place to sleep. Made travel to and from the festival a lot easier with their shuttle.

Tina and Yonty had a wonderful setup and experience set up for Hipcampers. Plenty of land and shaded area, water available, awesome little creek going through the property, and they even had a father and sons team cooking breakfast burritos one of the days I was there. Would absolutely stay again!
