Our property is located in Canyonleigh in the Southern Highlands region of NSW. We have a bush track on the property where you can enjoy some beautiful walking and the roads surrounding the property are quiet and great for those who enjoy their mountain bike riding. Bring a fishing rod and try your luck in the dam. Please note this is catch and release fishing only. Enjoy some excellent wildlife watching on the property and relax around your campfire in the evenings and gaze up at the stars. Pets are welcome.

Beautiful Farm

Beautiful property, easy access for large caravan, simple directions and plenty of space. The dam was an added bonus for the hot weather. Also my daughter loved seeing the horses.

Great location and quiet spot

Weather Top is great off grid camping experience. We loved staying there for 4 nights. Damien is the perfect host. Comes by once a day to check in and then leaves you to enjoy your stay. The dam is perfect to take a dip. Weather Top is quiet and relaxing. Plenty of things to have a look at whilst on a short stroll. We will be back.

Such a beautiful place to stay! We went mid week so were the only ones there. Super clean and a great supply of firewood around the property. Plenty of flat ground and a nice dam to park up at with camping chairs and watch our dog have a swim. We even got a visit from the friendly resident doggo!

Great communication with Damien. Lovely property but the rain dampened it a tad on the second night. It actually hailed but funnily enough an hour or so before the thunder started one of the dogs came up to visit me and we sat and had a hug for a wee while. Two gorgeous friendly dogs on the property. I think it's a tad overpriced given the aren't any amenities BUT this might be due to the service fees. All in all I was very happy and do recommend it

Great rest and relaxation!

Just returned from a few days completely off the grid at Weathertop. Peace and quiet (although very 'active' birds day and night!) and a large lot to pick a private spot. Only had a maximum of two other campers the whole time I was there but could barely see/hear them as the lot is so spread out and lots of trees and nooks to tuck yourself away. Couple of nice trips into nearby Berrima and Moss Vale during the day and lots of stargazing at night. Thanks Damian and 'Tigger' for a great stay!

lovely spot, lovely view down to the dam. Plenty of firewood around. Had a visit at dinner time from a very well-mannered dog, Tigger. heaps of bird life. No facilities available. Over-all a nice spot to stay the night.

Peaceful overnight stay relaxing by the fire and watching the dog having a lovely time doing doggy things. Seam in the dam and a nice walk along the country lane. Looking forward to visiting weathertop again! Damien was really friendly.

Free camping at its best

I wanted the free camping experience to be had with my son and we got just that, Damian has a great spot in the bush and it was beautiful to waken to the sound of birds and the wind rustling through the trees.

We were a total of 3 families and we all had a fantastic experience, kids had a ball!! Between patting the horses,cows to swimming in the dam and the buggy! We didn’t want the weekend to end. Such a lovely host.

Great Spot

Damian, the host was very accommodating. Good directions, so easy to find the property. Google maps got me there as well.....lol. Good sized areas for 2-3 groups. Was a bit wet and slippery, but that will be sorted soon with some track upgrades. Plenty of firewood, native birds, and the odd kangaroo. Took in a few of the close vineyards which was great being close to these also. We will be back, due the handy location to Sydney and surrounds. Hurry up October long weekend.....

Directions were clear, and we had a great time, site was exactly as described and I would recommend to anyone looking to stay there. Plenty of spots to choose from and our dog loved the area to run around. Damian was an excellent host.

Quiet and spacious

We stayed for two nights on a long weekend. There were others staying there at that time but we still easily found a spacious quiet spot for ourselves. Lots of fire wood around. The place is beautiful and Damien was a great host.

Camping with kids

Great spot to camp. Not crowded at all. Damian is very friendly and good to have a chat to. The kids had so much fun playing and had no technology!!! Kids have asked to come back again.

So peaceful! Damian was friendly and helpful. Our little family had a lovely time amongst the trees overlooking the dam. Plenty of space between campers and he’s done a great job ensuring the camping spots don’t encroach on the privacy of the neighbouring properties. Lots of free firewood and we had a paddle in a canoe on the dam once the chilly winds died down. A perfect long weekend!

Great place

A great spot 20 minutes from Moss Vale and other major hubs of the Southern Highlands. There are a number of spots to setup on the property from next to the dam to complete bush setting. All sites nicely cleared. A really nice place

Our host and family were extremely welcoming and generous in sharing their beautiful farm. As female travellers we felt completely safe, with private campsites and loads of space to wander, canoe, and pat the ponies. The clear, starry skies out here are magical - bring binoculars!

A wonderful rest

A working farm to share this beautiful bit of Aussie bushland Damian has sectioned off for campers. We scavenged for wood, walked through native forrest, found fresh wombat holes, made a warm fire, woke up to Kookaburras. Drank beautiful bore water. Weathertop is a delight to stay on. Damian allowed us to bring our puppy who loved the good run. Thank you for sharing your bit of paradise.

One of the best times I've had camping! On arrival Damian was super friendly and helpful, the camping area is vast but cosy and on this particular day, I've met some awesome fellow campers (solo females, families and mates), sharing stories by campfire. Very important also I felt safe, being a solo traveller. Highly recommend!

I loved my stay at Weathertop. The host is friendly and helpful, directions clear and it’s easy to find. The view out over the dam is beautiful, camp sites are flat and are widely spaced.

Damien was a great host and would pop in to check on us daily on his quad bike with his daughter and two gorgeous Kelpies Loads of space and a dam with two kayaks Nice bushwalk near buy and plenty of firewood around the property The stars shine a bit brighter out that way we loved it
