A Little Murray River haven
My family and dogs loved our week at Peter's Murray River paradise.
Completely private, right near the river for lots of swimming and fishing- but high off the river banks so it's very safe.
We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this spot if your wanting some time out to disconnect from just the busyness of life and have quiet time to enjoy being out in the outdoors

Murraywood on the Murray
Pros: Great site on the river. Very private. Friendly land owner.
Cons: Scare guns for orchids all day. Broken glass around site

Murraywood on the Murray
Beautiful site on the Murray
We loved this site. Views were spectacular. Plenty of room for a group of 10 to spead out. Great sandy beach suitable for swimming, fishing, kayak and a tinny.
Quite a remote, quiet part of the Murray so very peaceful. Be warned the nearby orchard was armed with scare cannons to deter the birds during the day when we stayed over xmas/new year but we got used to this surprisingly fast and it didnt effect our enjoyment of the site.
Its a 25 minute drive to the Nyah West IGA and there is no butcher so try and bring fresh meat with you. Tooleybuc store has ice and snacks and a small range of provisions. We filled up our fresh water containers at the Tooleybuc BBQ area.
When your looking for the driveway to the property keep an eye out for the 2 BLUE watertanks - the property gates are directly opposite on the other side of the road. There are 2 green water tanks about 500m previous on the Goodnight Rd just go a bit further until you see the bright blue ones. The owner Peter was friendly and got in touch via SMS before our arrival to make sure we had directions and dropped in once for a chat during our stay. We caught one large Murray Cod and a Silver Perch during our stay and plenty of carp.
We would definately camp here again and the drive was worth it.

Murraywood on the Murray
So amazing how close you are to the water but still on higher ground, so quiet and a great place for the dog to wander within sight.
