We don't know much about the history of our property but we can tell you that we plan on keeping it forever. It has absurdly good views at the top and is the perfect amount of remote and accessible for us. Learn more about this land: The property begins at the base of a small mountain and goes straight to the 6000' peak (and a little past). Great views, silent surroundings. You will very much be in the middle of nowhere. Enjoy it. There is a natural spring on the property from which you may get your water. What to expect
4WD recommended
A four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended for best access.

Wood burning fireplace, private. Due to the high risk of forest fires, a chiminea will be provided for your fires. During winter, fire pits are allowed.

Off leash, on leash. The site is very remote and there can be mountain lions/bears/moose with the occasional coyote or wolf. We've never had an incident but we'd like you to be aware!
Potable water available
Pump or well, bottled water or jugs. You will be supplied with 46 gallons of natural spring water (22 in a a water tank, 24 in water jugs). If you run out of water, you must go to the natural spring to refill the jugs.
Showers available
Hot water , cold water only. The shower is an indoor/outdoor shower. We HIGHLY recommend taking a "boat shower" to conserve water.
Bins available
Compost bin, recycling bin, trash bin
Cooking equipment present
Private, stovetop or hot plate, fridge, freezer, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, sink or other dishwashing station. There is a semi-full kitchen in the van tiny home. There is no oven.
Picnic table present
2-person table in the van tiny home.
No wifi
This site is meant to be a disconnect from regular life. The site also has full cell service. If you require Wifi, we can provide it for a fee or $10 per day.

Montanor is beautiful! The trek up the mountain is an adventure in itself. Though many supplies were provided, we came fully prepared. A bear pole is provided as well… you’ll need it! We had a small black bear and his friend explore our campsite several times. No real danger, just a curious resident of the mountain. We were able to shoo him off with just a holler. As long as your belongings are secured and food is stored out of reach, you’ll have no trouble. All in all, we had a great visit at Montanor. Jake was very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from civilization for some R&R in a beautiful location.

The Mountaintop Disconnect
If you want to get away from it all, this is your spot. Everything described by the the owner is true, this location is majestic and wild. Make sure you have the right vehicle. The owner sends a nicely detailed text with clear directions. You will need 4x4 and mud tires if it is wet season. I will totally be coming back to Montanoor soon.
