Hardda Farm is our family homestead and flower farm. We raise animals, vegetables and flowers using regenerative agriculture practices. You may meet our family dairy cow, our milk & wool sheep, and a variety of poultry and waterfowl. We are very near the Sun River and less than an hour’s drive to the Missouri River or the Rocky Mountain front. We enjoy fly-fishing, climbing, and hiking and are happy to recommend some great spots.

Take time to smell the roses. Our garden nook tent site is right next to our main garden, which you are welcome to explore. A portable toilet is available in the privacy of a former garden shed. Park your vehicle or RV to the right of the outhouse. A log marks the parking spot. Left of the parking place, your tent can be set up between the parking space and the garden fence. (Watch out for thistles, garden tools and tripping hazards.) Seasonally flowers, vegetables, eggs or milk may be available. This is a working farm and we want you to enjoy it. Please understand that animals (including dogs), tools, children and their toys, vehicles and electric fencing are present on the property and should be treated with respect. Roosters will crow, ducks will quack, sheep will baa. None of them will be penned directly next your site, but some are free-range. There is a historic fort nearby as well as fishing, kayaking, and swimming access to the Sun River. Biking is a great way to get around our tiny town.

The Twisted Willow site by our Duck Pond is our simplest site, with few amenities but perfect for RVs, vans and other self-contained campers who just need a place to stopover. Booking for this site is by approval. Sometimes we have fences inconveniently placed for rotational grazing or other factors. For instant booking, please check to see if our main site is available first. :)

Elicia and her family were wonderful and very welcoming! My two young sons (2 & 4) and I were passing through while on an extended road trip just after my husband deployed. I felt very safe, and my boys loved interacting with the farm animals! I hope we have another opportunity to pass through, so we can stay again!

This was a great place for a night’s stopover on my way across the country. Hosts were super nice and pleasant to chat with. I ordered firewood and they had paper and matches to get it started which was a nice touch.

Elicia made me feel right at home. The camp is in historic Fort Shaw. The fort is in walking distance as is the military cemetery. Beautiful countryside and the Sun River is close by. Right down the road is Big Sky Deli in Vaughn with all kinds of meats, cheeses, pastries, kombucha and provisions. I love the sounds of the farm animals and so did my pooch! :) I would definitely stay here again!

We loved camping here and would absolutely come back! Elicia was so easy to work with (especially for being on short notice!) and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Quite a nice location, the outhouse was great, and the farm animal sounds were a fun bonus. Our family 100% recommends this spot!

Elli and Nick were excellent hosts. They really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and even provided us with free beer when we inquired about where to go to buy our own. We highly recommend the Garden Nook as a great place to stay; the hospitality was unparalleled!
