The Homestead is located in Clancy, Montana on a 600 acre portion of a private ranch. This is a camping experience...think upscale tent camping for the adventurous soul! The tents are nestled in the foothills of the Elkhorn Mountain Range and sit right above the Strawberry Creek trail. You will be surrounded by stunning views of Sheep Mountain to the west, Casey Peak to the east, and the Helena Valley and Gates of the Mountains Wilderness to the north. Mountain bike, hike, trail run, explore and/or relax! Just a short 20 minute drive to Helena, MT for more trails, dining or other activities. *** This mountain destination takes you one mile on a dirt, two track road though a field to reach the tents so AWD is highly recommended.

This luxury style tent includes a queen bed and also a full-size futon which allows four people to sleep comfortably in the space. You will be provided with 5 gallons of drinking water, a picnic table, deck chairs and a propane fire pit. A portable power station for phone charging and heating water for your morning coffee is also available. The site offers 360 degree views in a quiet, secluded mountain environment. It is only a short walk to the trail access where you can find miles of hiking, biking and exploring. Guests will have access to an outhouse that is shared between the two tents on the property.

Awesome spot to stay with Awesome cou try to hike in. Hardly any bugs and no mosquitoes. If you're looking for a spot to really "Rough it" for the night this is it. Got to hear the elk bugle and really enjoyed our stay.
