Welcome to Forest Grove Ranch Camp, a quiet prairie campsite located near the historic site of Forest Grove, Montana. Once a small prairie settlement, Forest Grove is now mostly remembered by the beautiful country church and historic schoolhouse that still stand on the landscape. Our ranch sits among rolling prairie hills with sweeping views in every direction. This is a place for travelers who appreciate quiet country, wildlife, and the wide-open skies Montana is known for. From the property, you can watch the prairie stretch for miles and enjoy truly spectacular sunrises and sunsets, often with pronghorn moving across the hills and meadowlarks singing in the grass. On the other side, you can look off the ridge to the historical town of Forest Grove. We currently offer one private tent/RV site for dry camping, giving guests plenty of space and solitude. **What you’ll experience here:** • Quiet prairie setting far from city noise • Incredible Montana sunrises and sunsets • Frequent wildlife sightings including pronghorn, deer, meadowlarks, and occasional elk • A peaceful walking trail through a small stand of pine trees • Ranch animals nearby including chickens, guinea hens, and goats • Easy access to land for exploring • Wide open skies and excellent stargazing Camping details: • One private RV or tent site • Dry camping (no hookups) • Bathroom available (compost toilet) • Suitable for RVs, vans, and self-contained campers, and tents ***Access*** The campsite is reached by a rugged ranch road that climbs to the top of a prairie ridge, opening to big sky views and a quiet camping area. The road is part of the ranch experience and best suited for travelers comfortable driving dirt roads. Forest Grove Ranch Camp is ideal for guests looking for a peaceful Montana ranch stay, wildlife viewing, and a true prairie landscape. If you enjoy quiet mornings, open country, and unforgettable sunsets, we’d love to share this special place with you.Big Sky Site Big Sky Site is a private dry camping spot located in an open prairie meadow at Forest Grove Ranch Camp, surrounded by wide Montana skies and sweeping views in every direction. With unobstructed horizons and quiet countryside all around, this site is especially known for its incredible sunrises, glowing sunsets, and peaceful nighttime stargazing. This single campsite provides plenty of space and solitude for RV and tent travelers looking to experience the quiet beauty of rural Montana. Wildlife is often seen nearby, including pronghorn antelope, deer, meadowlarks, and occasionally elk moving across the prairie. A short walk from camp leads up to a nearby prairie ridge where guests can take in amazing 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape, stretching for miles across the Montana prairie. Guests can also explore a small grove of pine trees on the ranch where a peaceful walking trail winds through the shade — a unique feature in the middle of the prairie landscape. The campsite is reached by a rugged ranch road that climbs up from the prairie before opening into the meadow camping area. The setting is quiet, remote, and surrounded by open country.
