Plenty of room to unwind. Sycamore Grove is our only reservable campsite, offering a shaded, secluded setting nestled among the trees. Whether you're planning a quiet weekend getaway, exploring Smithville Lake, or simply looking to unplug, you'll find a relaxing place to call home for a few nights. Spend your days hiking, fishing, boating, or exploring the nearby lake, then return to the farm to enjoy the sounds of nature, watch for wildlife, and relax beneath the stars. A different kind of camping experience. Twilight Grove isn't a traditional campground. We're a working farm with an American elderberry orchard, pollinator habitat, wooded areas, and a creek winding through the property. We intentionally keep camping simple and focused on the natural surroundings rather than resort-style amenities. While Sycamore Grove is our only reservable campsite, our family continues to use and maintain the farm. You may occasionally see us working on the property or camping elsewhere on the land. Your designated campsite, however, is reserved exclusively for your group. Your peaceful escape awaits. Your Campsite Sycamore Grove occupies approximately 0.3 acres of grassy, shaded land surrounded by mature trees. The forest provides natural screening on three sides, creating a peaceful setting for tent camping and small camping setups. A 25-foot gravel parking area with a turnaround accommodates cars, vans, and appropriately sized small campers or trailers. Campsite amenities include: Fire pit with cooking grate Metal table with seating Seasonal potable water and handwashing station Private composting toilet in a privacy tent (toilet paper provided) Trash and recycling bins Please note: Water availability is seasonal. To protect our above-ground water system, water service is unavailable whenever forecasted overnight temperatures in Trimble, Missouri, fall below 45°F. Guests should plan to bring their own water during these periods. Guests are welcome to explore designated areas of the farm while respecting cultivated areas, farm equipment, and wildlife habitats. Our property also borders U.S. Army Corps of Engineers land, providing a beautiful natural backdrop. Keep your eyes open for deer, songbirds, and other wildlife, or simply settle in beneath the sycamores and enjoy the sounds of nature. Minutes from Smithville Lake Located just 5 minutes from Smithville Lake, Sycamore Grove makes a convenient home base for outdoor adventures. Spend your day fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming, or exploring the lake's trails. Then return to your shaded campsite for a relaxing evening around the fire. A Different Kind of Camping Experience Twilight Grove isn't a traditional campground with rows of campsites. Sycamore Grove is our only reservable Hipcamp site, so you won't have other paying campers occupying neighboring sites. Our family continues to work, maintain, and enjoy the farm, and we may occasionally camp elsewhere on the property. Your designated 0.3-acre campsite remains reserved exclusively for your group. We welcome guests who appreciate nature, quiet surroundings, and the simplicity of camping on a working farm. Booking Information 📅 Minimum stays: 2-night minimum for most dates 3-night minimum during major holidays 🚗 Guests & vehicles: Reservations must accurately reflect the number of adults, children, and vehicles visiting the property. Additional visitors and vehicles require advance host approval, including daytime visitors. ⛺ Private campsite: Only registered guests and approved visitors are permitted at Sycamore Grove. Wonderful site. Would help to have a sign at site as we arrived after dark and had some trouble finding it. But this site is a gem and a great space to escape KC!

This was a great site! It's secluded on the middle of 20 acres, well maintained, and stocked with firewood. The toilet and sink were a really nice touch.

The area was spacious and private, exactly what I was looking for. If I had to nitpick, a sign at the entrance would be beneficial (very easy to miss turnoff), as well as a sign at the actual site. But the camping area matched the pictures, so that was easy enough. Highly recommend!
