We bought our land in 2004 for riding and getting away. Built a cabin for us and our 6 children to stay in, when we came riding.  We have been told that these hills were once used as strawberry farms. We still find wild strawberries growing.  The hills we ride and hike in, were once used by Jessie James and his gang.  They robbed the local bank in Pineville, MO.  And the first Jessie James movie, filmed in 1939, with Tyrone Power as Jessie James and Henry Fonda played Frank James.

    Definitely a beautiful little getaway. The cabin is amazing and the hosts we're incredibly helpful. Absolutely love the fact that it's dog friendly! There is a high chance that I will be back!

    This cabin is great for a getaway in the woods! The host was very kind and even left us some homemade banana bread. The cabin is nicely furnished with an open floor plan and a loft. It has running water, plumbing, shower, basic television channels, electricity and a fire pit in the back yard. It comes with two heaters so you will have no trouble with the cold during the night. The backyard has a great 180 degree view with plenty of space to entertain friends or let pets run around. In the morning we cooked avocado toast topped with farm eggs gifted to us by the host. We would highly recommend this listing, Enjoy your stay!
