Really loud due to the interstate. Dirt road is right in front of the campsite and the shower. There is zero privacy at these sights.

This place was wonderful! We had the entire place to ourselves for the weekend, so it felt secluded. The river was crystal clear and we had a lot of fun exploring it.

Bluff side camping Big Piney River

The two campsites are very well maintained and appointed. Our class B+ negotiated the roads and site without issue. Hobbit Hollow sits on a perch above the Big Piney. The electric, water, and sewer hookups we're convenient. As were the various bbq pits and smokers. A new restroom was installed next to an outdoor shower and several sinks. We watched deer, geese, and ducks as the sun set. The river bluffs are towering. Access to the river is a short walk, rivers do change. Caught several smallies. This is a very private and quiet camping spot. Kate was easy to communicate with. Firewood was available for purchase. Nice place.

Cedar Mere Riverside; Hobbit Hollow
Well kept and secluded campsite. We enjoyed our stay and all of the amenities that were provided. It’s right on the Big Piney river and is a great place for swimming, floating, and fishing. We hope to come visit again when the weather cools down.
Very private campsite with great river views and easy and close access to the river and gravel bar with vast area of shallows that lead gently out to deeper water. And the river is wonderful clear water. Tubers can walk 10 minutes upstream, put in at the bridge, and have a very nice float back to camp. We stayed at Hobbit Hollow which is next to Crawdaddy Creek site. If you want total privacy, rent them both. Host has provided many amenities in the common area, including many tubes and floats. We plan to come back.

Perfect spot right by a beautiful river to unplug and relax! But still close enough to restaurants and stores. We wld DEFINITELY go back! Loved it ♡
Everything was amazing and the hospitality was top notch! Would definitely recommend. Mary was so laid back and so helpful and giving. She made sure we found a spot to play in the water and shared everything she had. What a treasure she is!
I was in search of solitude and a river bank and that’s exactly what I found at Cedarmere. 100% would recommend if you’re looking for a spot with few people, a beautiful view, and great hospitality. I will certainly be booking here again when the world gets too loud and I need a place to getaway.

The fireplace and water access were great! Directions were easy to follow and left cation easy to find. Excellent communication from the host prior to the trip as well.
This spot is absolute perfection. It's a gorgeous, secluded, yet very convenient location with St Robert, MO only 10-15 minutes away. We wanted something that was directly on the river, private, and had good fishing/swimming/floating spots nearby. It checked all of the boxes and more! Not to mention Mary is the nicest, most respectful, and accommodating host you could ask for. I seriously doubt we could have found a better spot on the Big Piney than Cedar Mere. This place is a paradise!

Staying at Cedar Mere Riverside felt like stepping into a little fairytale. We chose the Hobbit Hollow site, and it truly lived up to its name — quiet, tucked away, and wonderfully secluded. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stumbled upon a secret hideaway meant just for us. The sounds of the river and the peaceful surroundings made it easy to unwind and enjoy the simple beauty of nature. Our host, Mary was incredibly kind and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed without ever disturbing the sense of seclusion. It was the perfect balance of comfort, magic, and solitude — an experience we’ll treasure and can’t wait to return to.

We had a lovely time and very private. Our goal was to sit in the water, relax and do a lot of nothing. We succeeded! We do plan to go back another time when we have a bit more time and the heat index is lower than 102 degrees!

We LoVeD this spot!
Mary was very accommodating and we are so grateful that she shares this beautiful space, right next to the Big Piney river! Our site was level with charming details such a fancy grill, outdoor shower, outdoor sink, floaties,... and of course electric and water right there. And all of that just off I44!
We will for sure be back!
