Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Owned and operated by JCA Environmental Group. North Central of the Sax-Zim Bog. And just South of the Iron Range. This site has space for large RV's and Camper Trailers as well as many places for tents. It is 200 feet off of a gravel road in a farming area. Pack a lot of stuff because like Robinson Crusoe its as primitive as can be. It is flat with some open spaces but manly trees.This site is owned and operated by JCA Environmental Group. This was one of my favorite Hip Camps yet - exactly what I hoped for. Situated about 20 minutes from Redhead MTB trails, it offers a quiet, private space to relax and listen to the wind and birds in the surrounding forest and catch an epic evening sunset over the meadow, which then was full of fireflies both nights I was here. Option to hang a hammock as well. A little bit of distant road noise is the only sign of anyone nearby. It was raining when I arrived, which made the mowed grass, combined with some modest ruts, a little slick when I was turning around to back into the parking space. The space is a little tight so trailers might be tough to get in/out. Overall, a perfect spot to unwind and relax after a day on the trails.
