Alligator Bayou borders the property, and Bayou Manchac is accessible just across the road. • Nature: The campsites are tucked into wild, native landscaping that changes seasonally, featuring trees like Mayhaw, Ironwood, and Bitter Pecan. Campsites The property features 10 primitive tent sites, each spaced 20–50 feet apart for privacy: • Variety: Sites range from shadier clearings like Ironwood (Site 10) to grassy patches closer to the facilities like Mayhaw (Site 1). • Group Options: Certain sites (like 8, 9, and 10) are positioned closely together, making them ideal for small groups. • Layout: Most sites feature grassy areas for tents and dedicated space for a fire pit. Amenities • Bathhouse: A shared facility includes modern restrooms and showers. • Laundry: Self-serve laundry units are available on-site. • Essentials: Campfires and pets are allowed; however, there is no potable water at the individual campsites, so guests should bring their own. Primitive Campsite 1 - Mayhaw

Tent site · Sleeps 4
Wander the short path from the road to campsite number 1, Mayhaw. You’ll see a small Mayhaw on your way, hence the name. This is an approx. 28ft x 12 patch of grass surrounded by wild native landscaping. There is plenty of room to pitch a tent with space leftover for a fire pit. Campsite 1 is the closest to the bath house and just behind an outbuilding, see photos. Campsite number 1 is closest to the parking and maintenance areas of the property so it is best to book this site if you don’t mind being close to that activity. All campsites are situated at the edge of over a hundred acres of bottomland hardwood swamp to explore. All campsites are numbered and spaced approximately 20 - 50ft apart with native landscaping between each site. Alligator Bayou lines the eastern edge of the property and is a short walk from all campsites. Bayou Manchac is just across the road and another option for paddling if you don’t mind lugging a canoe across Manchac Rd. We can help, just let us know. Primitive Campsite 10 - Ironwood

Campsite 10, Ironwood, is an approx. 16ft x 23ft clearing in the shadier section of the property. Ironwood is the last campsite on campsite row and the furthest from the bath house, though still a relatively easy walk, see photos. It is also the closest campsite to the main road but not too close for comfort. Campsites 8, 9 and 10 are in close proximity and would make a great group camp for 3 tents if reserved all together. But they also make great sites on their own. All campsites are situated at the edge of over a hundred acres of bottomland hardwood swamp to explore. All campsites are numbered and spaced approximately 20 - 50ft apart with native landscaping between each site. Landscaping and site appearance changes seasonally. Primitive Campsite 2 - Bitter Pecan

Campsite 2, Bitter Pecan is an approx. an 18ft x 13ft patch of grass surrounded by wild native landscaping. There is room to pitch a tent with space leftover for a fire pit. There is parking directly across the road from campsite 2 and it is the second closest site to the Bath House making a very convenient location for your adventure. All campsites are situated at the edge of over a hundred acres of bottomland hardwood swamp to explore. All campsites are numbered and spaced approximately 20 - 50ft apart with native landscaping between each site. Landscaping and site appearance changes seasonally. Wander the short path from the road to campsite number 3, Green Ash. This site is an approx. 25ft x 15ft patch of grass surrounded by wild native landscaping. The site has a slightly elevated section perfect for a tent, and a lower section ideal for laying out a blanket for a picnic. All campsites are situated at the edge of over a hundred acres of bottomland hardwood swamp to explore. All campsites are numbered and spaced approximately 20 - 50ft apart with native landscaping between each site. Landscaping and site appearance changes seasonally. This site consists of a slightly elevated portion perfect for a tent and a lower half ideal for a fire pit or blanket picnic area. A short path from the road, you will find campsite number 5, Swamp Red Maple. This is an approx. 12ft x 16ft patch of grass surrounded by wild native landscaping. There is plenty of room to pitch a tent (check your tent size) and make yourself at home. All campsites are situated at the edge of over a hundred acres of bottomland hardwood swamp to explore. Camp site 6 is an approx. 15ft x 12ft patch of grass at the end of a short path surrounded by wild native landscaping. This site can easily accommodate a standard tent (check your tent size) for two and make a great basecamp for a weekend of adventure. All campsites are situated at the edge of over a hundred acres of bottomland hardwood swamp to explore. Take the short path next to the Hackberry tree to campsite 7, an approx. 16ft x 18ft patch of grass surrounded by wild native landscaping. This site is is between a thick stand of palmetto and a swale with newly planted cypress trees. Pitch a tent and enjoy the week or weekend exploring, paddling and fishing the surrounding bayous and swamp. Just past the small slough you'll find campsite 8, an approx. 24ft x 12ft clearing. This section of campsites benefits from the shade of larger trees and offers a wonderful view of dense palmettos. Pitch a tent and enjoy the week or weekend exploring, paddling and fishing the surrounding bayous and swamp. Campsite 9, Persimmon, is an approx. 15ft x 20ft clearing in the shadier section of the property. Campsites 8, 9 and 10 are in close proximity and would make a great group camp for 3 tents if reserved all together. But they also make great sites on their own.
