We had a great time. The camp site was private and a stones throw from the Illinois river. It’s a short drive to Starved Rock, and we enjoyed the hiking and scenery before coming back to the site.

Nice little slice. Perfect for a wilderness feel without leaving civilization. Higher clearance vehicle and thoughtful driving are recommended. Come equipped to get out if it rains!

Private Oasis 💚
As a single female I can appreciate a safe space. As is such that Katie has made for us here! It was such a lovely property I saw deer, turkey, turtles, fish, crane, and a sweet lil beaver was playing in the water and chopping trees for us! One thing I did not encounter? Other people which was wonderful as that was one of my qualities I look for when camping. There are three sites all with varying views I chose the second overlooking the pond with a drive up spot very close to it! So I didn’t have to take my gear too far. 10/10 would plan on staying again!
