We loved our stay! Torsten and his brother even set up our tents for us. It was a surprise trip for a friend and all of us had an incredible time at the winery and at the camp site. The hospitality was 10/10- highly highly recommend.

We loved camping at the vineyard! The views were incredible and the site was so peaceful. We really enjoyed visiting the lovely tasting room and sampling some of the offerings there. A fun bonus was the vineyard pup named Franklin who was very friendly and took a nap near me!
We loved camping at Terra Incognita! The campsite is amazing and we really appreciated having the covered space to set up our table for cooking and escaping the sun.
Our pups also enjoyed some free time running around offleash in the mornings before the Tasting Room opened for the day. We had the privilege to be there for opening weekend of the Tasting Room and enjoyed a sampling of their wines. I highly recommend the True North!
We were also able to walk the property and explore some of the trails which were short, but scenic.
Torsten was kind enough to also give us a jump when we woke up one morning and our car was dead from a light left on. Torsten and Chris were awesome hosts and I would highly recommend this campsite at this family owned establishment!

beautiful place, loved the views and the host was super nice. also loved having the pavilion nearby
The site sits at the summit of the vineyards, and the view is tremendous! We appreciated the soft mulch tent pads, the picnic shelter, and the solar lights, and we really enjoyed our visit with the hosts at the wine tasting. We went for a bottle of the Meridian - delicious! I'm looking forward to a return trip.

I cannot say enough about how special Terra Incognita is. Both our stay and the vineyard itself were perfect. I came up with my girlfriend and two other couples for a quick camping trip. The location is unbeatable, the wine is tasty, and the folks are some of the most hospitable you’ll ever meet. My girlfriend was so inspired that she chose this trip to propose!
This little piece of heaven will stay on my list of weekend getaways and mountain day trips. Already planning a return trip to take some engagement photos. :) Do yourself a favor and plan a visit— you will not be disappointed!

This place is a treasure for so many reasons, the beauty, the hospitality, the wine…It’s become our family’s favorite spot to get away from the hassles of home. Torsten and everyone at Terra Incognita always make us feel welcome. And nothing beats a clean bathroom when you’re camping!
We had a fantastic time camping at Terra Incognita! The campsite being on top of a mountain is a perfect spot for our van. We enjoyed both the sunrise from the campsite, and the sunset from the vineyards' event space. Great wine and great people. We recommend this campsite to everyone. 5 stars!

This is an incredible place to camp!! Our group had a wonderful time. It is such a unique gem and a great place to really get away! Very secluded and did not see many others around. Easy access to great hiking spots all around. Torsten was a great host and helped us out a lot!

This was our second time camping at Terra Incognita and just like the first time it was amazing. This time we had family from Colorado and friends from Atlanta and all were amazed at how beautiful it was. The hosts asked if we would mind them doing fireworks from the pavilion our last night there…which we didn’t….so we got to enjoy fireworks from our site….so much fun! This is such a great site and the hosts are so friendly and helpful!
Highly recommend taking a foraging tour with Wildcraft Kitchen, trying the wines, and camping on the grassy hill. The owners make you feel at home, and go out of their way to help you feel at home. Without a doubt, this site is one of the coolest camping experiences I’ve had.
If you camp here (or anywhere really…), leave it better than you found it!

BEYOND impressed by this place. My girlfriend and I camped here for two nights and taste tested wine and we were absolutely shocked by how amazing the views, owners and wine was. Words cannot express how awesome it was.
Brothers Torsten and Chris, as well as their families, were amazing hosts. Not only is their property beautiful, but they were more than accommodating when we had issues with our tent. We had a great time hanging out at the winery, and got to meet fellow travelers while there. Well worth the money!

This place is truly special. While a little off the beaten path, the views, vineyard, and hospitality of the host made it truly worthwhile. The camping at the top of the knoll is secluded and private, but still offers access to the vineyard's pavilion for tastings and company (when it's open). Torsten was a great, responsive host, and we enjoyed meeting him, hearing about the vineyard's story, and the occasional company of his family's dogs (who would come up to hang out with us on the hill each day!!). We will definitely be returning, sooner rather than later.

As pretty of a location as one could possibly find in Georgia. Mountain and vineyard views all around. Torsten was welcoming and easy to communicate with and the camping trip was a blast (even though we sweated out a couple hours of thunderstorms).

This is a very special place. There is plenty of room and plenty of beautiful views. And sooo peaceful!! Our host, Torsten, was super accommodating and informative and friendly! It is off the beaten path (perfect for us) yet so easy to get to. Bonus points for the sweet pups that hung out with our pups and also the pavilion to enjoy someone their delicious wine and more gorgeous views! We will be back!
Holy cow - what a gem of a find! First off, Torsten and his family are some of the coolest people I've met in a long time - super easy to talk to, really nice and hospitable, and just in general fun to be around. Their land is breathtakingly gorgeous. Felt too good to be true while we were there. Sunrises on the camping hill & sunsets at the tasting room are the way to go :D I forgot the stakes to my tent, but Torsten was able to find some stakes in their shed and helped me put up my tent. He also basically built our fire the first night we camped. Lots of cute puppers roaming around. Nice trails, + they are making more :D Wine was delicious. Plenty of sticks around to make a fire. The bathrooms are really nice at the tasting room..'bout a 10 minute walk from the camp ground. My friends ended up driving to the bathrooms whenever they had to go. But there are also plenty of places near the campsite to go in the woods. Definitely recommend - we already are trying to plan our next visit back!
We had an amazing 2 nights camping at Terra Incognita Vineyard. We had the mountain top to ourselves. They are dog friendly and the owners were so inviting and friendly.

This was such a picturesque hilltop for our Easter escape! Be prepared for the mountain roads, but the views and the space and the lovely tree swing are well worth the drive. Torsten was friendly and helpful, welcoming us over to the open air pavilion where the food truck and the wine bar were serving up some of the south’s finest pairings. The kids enjoyed a community egg hunt hosted by the vineyard as well. Terra Incognita is the perfect place to get away and get filled back up.
Torsten was quick to respond, very informative and helpful prior to our arrival. The driveway into the property was the start of a thrilling experience. Torsten greeted us upon our arrival and got us situated on one of the most beautiful, breathtaking campsites that we have been to. We felt like we were on top of the world. We were overlooking the vineyard, the mountains & the surrounding national forest. We had the place to ourselves. We hiked the many trails they have on their property plus some additional trails adjacent in the national forest. We highly recommend staying here and we truly hope to return one day. Do yourself a favor and look up Terra Incognita Vineyard. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing Experience!
The land is secluded with beautiful views, and has plenty of room to host a large group! The clearing at the top of the mountain makes for a great breeze and amazing stargazing on a clear night.
Torsten was a spectacular host, and even showed us and the kids around the land by vehicle. They’ll never forget it!
Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!
